I'm all for purchasing 100 mana potions at a time but.. why the price hike?

Used to be 360g for 50 mana potions: (360g x 2 = 720g for 100 mana potions)

Now it's 1350g for 100 mana potions? What gives?

There is now a 25 mana potion option for 360g, the 50 mana potion option bumped up to 700g and the new 100 mana potion option for 1350g.

While implementing the change to allow mana potions to be purchased in bulk the guild hall price for mana potions was incorrect. This was fixed as it was a bug that went previously unnoticed.

Thank you for the clarification.

What a lousy explanation, Sam. I don't buy it. People were talking all over the place about how pots are cheaper in the guild hall. How could you not have noticed over more than six months.

This is very bad news for rogues in particular, because with no mana pumped into Aimed Shot they lose significant part of damage that they dish out. I have always preferred mages with shield to mages with heal but now this might change the situation.

With no-heal mage, no problem to burn 300 mana pots within one hour. You should at least buff myth armor to give more INT.

I honestly thought this was a feature. All classes have a skill that recovers health. By keeping mana pots at a low price you could keep yourself healed and not have to buy the more expensive health pots.

u guys are making it harder and harder for new players to get started in this game. If ur satisfied with the amount of players u have now that's fine but if u want to gain a larger player base then something needs to be done. health and mana pots are essential in this game and it's really hard to earn gold, especially at lower levels. If I didn't have someone to give me starter gold and gear when I got started I would have quit. I know in ur eyes the answer (and maybe the goal) is to have people buy gold with plat. You have to have both a large player base and some plat spenders both. If 20% of the players buy plat they aren't going to play the game if the other 80% aren't there.

It doesn't matter to me because i have tons of gold but you'll see less new players because of this. They'll start and then quit once they get to higher levels and can't afford pots. I won't comment on what I think about this "bug" being unnoticed for 6 months.

Wasn't Sam who posted.

You nailed it with "buying gold with plat." So many people keep telling me this does not happen, but we all know that is how people get started. They may not buy millions, but the high exchange rate in comparison to the other STS/G games is significant. There never has, nor ever will be, farming gold in AL. You have two ways: Make gold from farming/merching (which to have gold to merch in the BEGINNING is to farm or buy with plat), or buy gold with plat. And I agree that this is their plan.

I remember when STS was always stating "Plat is not required to play our games," and "We want the pick-up-and-play feel to our games." Now, all we see is "We have to make a living too." Also, with the ridiculous amount of time needed to farm Elite maps, the pick-up-and-play feel is non-existent in AL.

Nice to see STS reverting back to the original prices. Actually the 100 option is cheaper by 20 gold now. As I said before, end gamers/old timers don't care about mana prices as much as new players. I would have quit in the beginning if I saw how much I needed to use pots and how much they cost!

That hurts my soul.
We don't even get that much gold for fighting in the hard dungeon that need us to use mana potion (elite map, etc).
I should have bought 10k mana potions before the update.

People would scream 'MANAAAAA' louder now...and vholt ultimate build will be more popular http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?108303-I-finally-found-it-D

They already decreased the prices again. At least in the guild hall they're even a bit cheaper than what they were, when buying 100 of them (700 gold).
