Basically the problem is we're getting farmed and ganged and yet they still manage to call us losers and weak and noobs. It's pissing me off, nevermind where I go, I'm a noob or a bxtxh.

So to get rid of the problem.. Remove the chatbox in CTF. Make it so you only can hear what your teammates are saying or something I dont know, i don't care. Just make me unable to hear what they're saying.

I agree. Lately this has been a problem in pvp.

Dont scrap it overall. Just make an option: disable chat in pvp

Agree 100%. I would love to disable chat in PvP and be able to see the kill feed. Lately I dislike PvPing because of the language being thrown around - some of it was racist towards me (I'm Korean). I don't need to see that while trying to enjoy a game. There's a difference between competitive trash talking and blatant immaturity.

Being racist is too much.no one would bother to check the chat logs unless reported.
Sorry for you pal.but do report such players as racial is sensitive issue and trash talking by combining it with racial and religion are beyond rude.
These kind of people dont deserve a spot in game really.

Because I wont be able to get my team to 'rg!' without a chatbox :(

Crapy idea... Chat is good thing. You can also 'hide it' with 'that chat bubble'. When we do tournament or something else chat is thing most needed.

not realy... if they do this

Dont scrap it overall. Just make an option: disable chat in pvp

add: disable opponent's chat. so you can still chat with the team.

It would ruin the whole "flag room dont kill" culture, which is usually okay with me long as one team is bigger than the other.

Also when another team stands out of your spawn site and you wanna tell them to go to middle, happens often enough it'd be hard to get used to not being able to talk to them.

Other than that i think its a good idea you could only see what your team mates say and thats it, maybe would be hard to get used to at first but overall a good idea

lately many players use trash talking in pvp to be specific xkillerjoyx nd killzonee .. i dnt know whats the problem with them ...

sts should improve the auto detect system ,when a player swears using alternative words like by*ch instead of b*ch they will get a 2 warnings then automatically kicked from pvp room

So I changed my name for a day or 2. I've never had so much *** talk targeting me. Noob rogue.
What hack program do you use. Ofc full mythic(even though I'm not).the list goes on. I saw a few peoples true colors. But I also talked to some pvpers I've never talked to before. Was a fun experience overall.

But I agree, a choice too or not too chat would be nice. But I can see how pvp isn't fun for newer players.

I never understood why we can talk to enemies. In daoc, an old mmo, if an enemy spoke it would say "matutd said something in a language you can't understand". This allowed for a more tactical approach to pvp as you can tell team mates to flank, flag run etc, and the enemy wont know.

Write /team [message]

The obvious drawback to this is the fact that ur teammates wont know ur using /team unless u tell em (/team get the rogues first, don't bother abt warrior. Im using /team)

An alternative color for team chat would be nice. Or maybe even a diff color for the name of the speaker (like in /o officers chatting will have their names yellow).
