Respec/stat altering item question

Say I am at 92int and equip bone staff which is the minimum. It adds 5 int when equiped. On my next respec can I add only 87 int and still keep it?

Nope. Because you can't equip the weapon in the first place because you haven't met the 92int requirement

You can't say, "Hey weapon, can you grant me first your 5int so I can equip you" :D

But the weapon is equiped first or are you unequiped when you respec as well?

Yeah if it's equipped when you respec, it should stay equipped and working, at least last I checked. You can't remove it then of course.

if your stats are not up to the requirements though, you will not be able to attack. They did fix that exploit.

Yes, you can do this, but you won't be able to take it off otherwise you'll have to respec to put it back on.
