Better To Sell Or Use Chests

I have been getting back into AL and I was wondering if it is more worthwhile to use chests or sell them.

Not sure they make ~great~ weapons but at lower levels you could throw them at enemies ;)

Seriously though ... wait, no, the question of estimated unknown value vs known value is something I am done commenting on .. so I will assume you really do mean use them as weapons, so original answer stands.

Hmmmm... I guess they could be used as improv weapons. That would be pretty funny to see.

This question translates to: are you a risk-taker or a conservative? I've always sold my chests to make a guaranteed profit and just save up for my gear. I suppose if I had everything I ever needed, then I'd start opening them up just for fun.
