I dont know if this is a known bug but on my s4 the sound gets cracky and makes popping noises at the end of every pvp match and occasionally during regular gameplay and when in town.

The best way to describe the way it sounds its like a loud noise that sounds like something is being scratched... or like the sound of your ears popping when they have pressure, like swimming or airplanes.

I don't think this is my device because I played my music full blast and nothing happened. It's only when I play pocket legends... :/

This happens to me too on my Droid. It does it for me when a level is finished and it makes the noise of that one celebrate emote, but all crackly.

It is the game, I have my best results when the volume is low, but every end of pvp match makes a scratchy sound, I've confirmed this on s3. Although my sound works perfectly fine everywhere else so it is the game.

It's not just that the sound is annoying. I'm also worried that it could damage the speakers if the volume is too high.

It won't damage your speakers. It is the game's sound itself. I tested It by hooking my sound up via bluetooth to my Bmw and it made the same exact noise.

I don't think Apple devices has this problem. I played on a iPhone and iPod and never had an issue.

I'm surprised lots of other people has this same problem... is it a recent bug?

It's been happening to me for a while, so I just turned the volume off and decided to play music whenever I play PL now

Yes this has been reported before. It's caused by a discontinuity in the sound being played through audio output. The other reports came out long before the S4 did, so it's the game, not the phone. My guess is that some models of phone have extra protection on their audio that suppresses problems like this, so some phones show the issue while others don't.
