Before anyone says "there's already a thread for this stuff". Yes crimsontider wrote a bear arms thread.

I just want to say..nearly everyday I'm on pl now, I see someone breaking the terms of service. Something everyone agreed on when the clicked the 'play' button to go online.

What happened to the nice community in pl we had back in 2010 where mostly everyone was nice to a fellow player? (If you started playing in 2010, u probably know) Now days, if someone asks for help whether its for lvling or needing just a BIT of gold to help them get an item, most people would reply by calling that person "noob" then ignore them?

We all were once new people to PL, we were treated nicely by others. Why do we have to be mean now?

I guess what I'm trying to say in this thread is that: if you see someone being mean to someone else, try to get the mean person to stop.
If you see someone break the terms of service, report them.

Not saying ALL players are mean.

But can we PLEASE do what we can to keep the ingame community a nice place for everyone?

When a game isn't being updated and getting some attention, it brings lots of players to boredom, thus, leaving them feeling like trolling/swearing/breaking the rules is the best way to have fun (due to lack of content).

Edit: What I mentioned is a big contributor to this occurring. The other small portion of it is that once a generation of players set a poor example, it catches on to others.

Games are always better (in community terms) near the release of the game mostly because no one knows much about the game leading to collaboration and cooperation to play the game. After a while, people start to figure out everything themselves or by reading guides rather than interacting with their fellow players to get information and, usually, become friends.

If you were able to get to the Arcane Legends or Battle Dragons beta, you would see that everyone was learning the game and talking to each other about how to build there character/base leading to much more friendships being created and a faster growth in knowledge and kindness in the community.

Pocket Legends has been out for 3 years.

I dont mind helping ppl but what do you do when like 6 of your guildies beg for help with dungeons non stop, and if I help every random person with gokd when they ask for it, I would have to borrow from u. I help ppl but sometimes it is better to ignore. You cannot help everyone. But I agree ppl shoukd be alot nicer

I've heard a few times from different players the idea that lack of content leads to trolling, or misbehavior however you personally define it.
I'm going to give my undoubtably unpopular personal opinion that that idea is a cop out. It's my opinion if you do something, that's you. That's on you, and the suggestion that the devs are at the root of he problem is also just an opinion the same as mine. They are different ways to think of it, I prefer mine because it seems to take personal responsibility as opposed to what seems fingerpointing.
This is not directed at anyone or trying to refer to any situation.
It's one of my solutions to certain problems, as we say around here;
"man up".

Just do what you think is right, you're going to go insane if you bother yourself over every person you see doing something stupid.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I am 100% genuine and respectful to all. My reason for logging on is to play, be helpful, and meet new people. Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same as I (or we) do. I have only been playing since January and I have seen the community go down tremendously.

Anyways, maybe I will see you around and we can actually have a meaningful conversation or a good run. Take care.

All you oldies keep saying how great of a community you had back then and other stuff. Keep in mind that ive been playing since 2010 also.

Anyways, back then the population wasnt as much as before. With bigger population of course you will see some mean trolls. Everywhere is like this. The community is still good. Its just that you guys dont take the time to actually find that out. You let a couple of morons in balefort to represent the new generation.

Exactly.

Pointing fingers leads nowhere, it's the own personal decisions which make the difference.

My Mom always says, you may not point with a naked finger on a clothed person, but with a clothed finger on a naked person.
Well written Sue, and

Will's point is right, but the biggest reason, in my opinion, is that the old and mature players aren't setting a good example anymore. Back then, if you were a noob, you'd have so many people to look to... My role models were Wildo and Parf ;)! I wanted to be as good as them at PvP (and I hope I'm getting there... L) and be as... Awesome as them :)... Socially and competitively. Now, all the old guys are leaving because there's just nothing left to do... No content. Because of that, there's no cycle; old guys just die out and the new players do what they want. Back then, if you trash talked, heueheueheueheuehue good luck pvping. Now, there aren't any enforcers and newbies be killing other newbies. Sometimes a good pvper steps in and they rage because they don't know what's it's like to lose and have fun.

Welcome to the internet.

Have your seen the YouTube comments lately? "man, that's gay" gets dropped on the daily. We've become so numb to what we're saying...

Whoa. I should like totally make that into a song.
