Its been nearly 7 months since ive joined the STS Forums, and I'm halfway into my 8th bar! :o

Yay, 8 bars! Cheers dude! Your awesome! Does adding reputation to a post add more rep than thanking posts? Not quite sure here.

Edit: pretty sure it does, adds like 50 reputation! Gotta start doing that guys. Maybe it uses more of your daily allowance though.

Yes. Since you thumb up'd me, my reputation power is now 155. The light green bars are 200 reputation points each, I believe (which is different from reputation power).

Reputation power though is utilized for thumb ups and it gives the receiver the amount of reputation points that your reputation power is. Therefore, since my reputation power was 154 and I thumb up'd you, your reputation points should have gone up by 154.

Make sense?

Yes. However, thanks are the exception as they give +2 reputation points no matter what your reputation power is. I believe it's a vBulletin forums bug.

Apollo, I just thanked you again. I thought there was a limit to have much reputation you can give to a specific user before it resets? Seems like this is true because I can't give you anymore. Says I need to spread more rep around first.

You earn reputation through posting. If you post something that's worth reading, and you think it's a great post, you just need to press the "thanks" button, or the icon next to it.

Bumped you up two bars... it's just rep bars. The reason why I do it is to show that bars don't matter. Reputation does not correlate with helpfulness. They are just green bars. We both used forums before the existence of reputation so reputation shouldn't make a difference now either. To those that think it does make a difference, well, they are just fooling themselves.
