What do you mean by "platinum gear"?
Are you talking about the ones you buy chests with plat in the store for gear?

Same gear. Should be different according to new theme, doesnt have to be diff stats as theyre purple. Looks matter tho.

If were talking about changing vanitys, chests arent the ones that need to be changed , vanity outfits are im tired of the same old vanitys and they do say "limited time only"
