I believe your k/d stays as it was with 0 deaths as it is with 1 death.

If you have 0-1 deaths, the system counts your deaths to be 1. So if you have 10,000 kills and 0 deaths, your kdr is 10,000, which it normally wouldn't be (you can't divide by zero). If you have 10,000 kills and 1 death, your kdr is of course 10,000.
