My carrier is verizon, but I'm not familiar with android phones.

If your next upgrade is in April 2011, I wouldn't get anything that is currently out. In Q1 2011 Verizon will be releasing a slew of powerful 4g phones. One of them will be dual core and have an nvidia in it.
