Sooo.. Everything anyone says is trolling? disagreeing is trolling? "needs thread lock" is trolling? I mean.. tbh, dont we all break this rule 10x a day....? i mean... we'd have to be prettyyyy high not to do any of this....-.- Im confused.. my mind hurts....

Meh, I don't think much of the posted definition of trolling (which is in no way meant to be infammatory). ;) Trolls usually attack people, not ideas--
Person A: I think Fords are better than Chevys because Ford uses solid aluminum flammulators.

Trolls drag discussions off-topic--example above degenerates into a flame war. If someone asks a question, it never gets answered because everyone is too busy fighting the troll. They love to pop up on forums dedicated to a particular topic and post either in direct opposition to whatever the forum is about (i.e. Posting the "wonders of Windows on a Linux forum) or simply informing the members that they're stupid for being interested in whatever topic the forum is about. Trolling is not simple disagreement--as someone said in the other thread (Jonboy? Setec?) it always elicits an emotional response. Like Justice Potter Stewart said about pornography, it's hard to define, but you know it when you see it.

No, no--I was agreeing with whoever it was (getting off lazy duff and opening a new window)........It was Setec in this thread here (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?11240-What-does-the-forum-think-of-HIM/page3) stating that trolling goes for an emotional rather than logical response. And I added in that trolling is more than simple disagreement. If you say you like Rift better than void and I say contrariwise, I'm not trolling, just disagreeing. If I call you an idiotic noob instead of responding to your argument, then I'd say I was trolling.
