Its not only ios, some android device too, my phone (resolution 1280 x 738) also cut some names, althought on my tab (1280x800) ok.

I find it quite annoying, because it's usually MY name that is cut off. (When I was on)

I always just check by going to world map->elite map and looking through them lol. Only doesn't work on palm rock and crypts.

Full resolution & uh I'm on Iphone 4S... And uh I'm not ure what that means haha

Resolution shouldn't be a factor. Given the resolutions you said above, I'd guess you have a Note 8. Can't think of a phone off the top of my head with a resolution of 1280x738. Unless you meant 1280x768 which would make me guess a Nexus 4 (iirc). I'd imagine it's screen size, for obvious reasons. More screen real estate = more leaderboards space.
Also, iOS devices don't have a higher screen resolution (than android). The phone and tablet with the highest pixel densities are both android (HTC and Asus)

Yes, nexus 4, sry i was wrong. Maybe they tested on ipad4 2048x1536, or just didnt tested with long names.
