Amazon Cloud servers actually rarely crash. At most, this game has crashed once a year or twice. Now, if they had their own servers and they crashed, it would be even more costly to fix those servers. Also, there is no telling of the security of personal servers. Therefore, it is simply easier and more cost effective in terms of maintenance to use another company's servers.

Heck, if you want to complain about servers, go to Netflix. They used Amazon Cloud servers for the longest time until they switched and got their own servers (so I assume, because they are no longer using EC2 servers).

I understand you're mad because you cannot log in, but seriously, go find something else to do in the meantime.

They didn't "DECIDE" to go maintenance the servers are down and they are quickly working to get them back up and running for "US" the players so before you go making demands like some hostage holder think about the fact that sometimes things happen that we can't control and that they are keeping us informed and working ON SUNDAY!! I personally don't blame them. Stuff happens. But, as for customer service they are at fault when their game goes down most of the day during a double xp promotion that was meant to bring new and old players to the game. So, a lot of us hope they extend it to honor the double xp duration.
