Trying to get mythics...

Hi guys Wiz again,

I would like to have a mythic gun/helm or armor. I can open 40 Locked but I am still afraid by the result.
Do you have some advices to give so my chances to get some nice stuff can grow ?

Btw, will I have better chances from opening Elite Golden Warchests ?
If yes, what are their price and will I have to pay to open them ?

Lockeds have a slightly higher change than elite goldEn warchests. Also warcbests cost a lot.

Try merching stuff within the limits of gold you have. Slowly work your way up to the bigger cash. This is infinitely preferable to goin the easy/risky way by spamming 'Open Chest'.

I with my friends have opened 100 crates today all craps
in some crates we didnt get any items we jus got gold and platinum
its purely luck dependant

my cousin first locked got a mythic bow that im using now. i ask a warrior friend how many locked he open cos he is in full mythic set and samael pet too.. the answer? 40+ only, its bout luck for real.

40 Locked cost 12k + 15 plat/Locked. I will have to spent 480kgold and 600 plat. And 800k for 20 Elite. Idk what is better between these prices :-/

Personally, I've given up on locked crates other than on double odd weekends. Why? I've opened about 200+ on normal days and have not received anything. It's better for me to merch + save my plat. I make roughly the same amount merchanting anyways, so why open lockeds?

By the way, mythic items are no longer dropping from crates or golden elite chests. They have only ever dropped during the special weekends.

I trust in my luck (I wont tell u my life but I am really really lucky ;-)) that is all. And I cannot really make business cause I am french my english is bad. And I am sure by reading other answers that I will get a Mythic or something good by opening them (reffering too to Fairwind's*post who get a Mythic today) :-)

My advise: Sell your locked crates and save your gold. Keep farming and keep saving, and then eventually you can buy the items you want. Yes it takes lots of time and lots of farming, but you will get there if you put in the time.

As the developers mentioned, some of the epic (purple) items from the new campaign have very good stats and can be used temporarily while you save up for mythics. I'd suggest picking out some of the best of these items and see how they work for you in the meantime. If you can find decent parties to farm with, it won't really matter whether or not you have mythics until you enter PvP which would be later in the season.
