I cannot find any posting in this forum (i'm just newbie here LOL) about how to farming the most delicious dungeon - AO3 the Victory Lap, so let's just discuss how to deal with some of the bosses inside. Some are quite common to farm as they are a bit easy. for example, the desert, king, and gurg

[i am not an experience raider for that but i post this new thread for some players who is just never farm any]

First, we just talk about the team formation. it's quite flexible for that 5. but like the World of Warcraft, i think it would better if we have: 2 tank bear(for stomp rushing, and 1 mt) and at least 1 heal+res mage, and make sure the dps of your team is enough(so 1 or 2 dpser is better).

About the teammate Lv requiement, 50 is preferred but i just seen some 48 & 49 done really well inside, so the main point is - He know what he need to do. And for the equipment, make sure your team is purple at least(this is not a difficult requir as some mid-boss in AO3 you can farm, which mid-boss will drop purple item for you), and the PINK MT is better(best geared purple MT is Okey, and make sure the MT are willing to drink red potions for tanking and leading the team, even 2 healer in team, u still ready to drink

So if the above team is formed, i recommand you guys don't need to use the tank/dps pots. And for the luck pots, i find that it doesn't worth to use it( i have experience that i use the luck pots but the power armor is dropped to someone didn't use it and I still get purple only!!! and system said i m lucky already to get one purple=no reroll)

Okey, Let start farming!

the main room will have 3 mid-boss. Try to pull one back to the entrance to kill it. Then kill the rest of 2. Beware of pulling too much, 3 mid-boos together will make death and some players at that moment "Left The Game"....

After finish the entrance 3 mid-boss, there is 4 doors, the right one is to desert, which is the most easy one. bottom-left is the door to the king, and the top door is to gurg

Desert -
~just forget the mobs and rush(leading by the tanks, stomp and scream)
~there is a stone in front of the desert boss and we can regroup
~then enjoy the boss:)
~make sure desert boss is blocked inside the corner and don't let him go too far - if you are tank bear you need to know that.

King -
~when you enter the king door there is already mobs hitting you
~i suggest kill them all instead of rush for insurance
~after finishing the mobs, your team will have some space to rest
~2 mid-boss, kill them also
~beware of the bomb barrels
~the way to boss is cleared, enjoy the boss:)
~at most of the time, don't wait healer to res you beacuse the way is already cleared, you can go back to boss fight easily

Gurg -
~2 mid-boss, kill them all for insurance
~after finish 2 mid-boss, forget mods and rush into boss room(stomp n scram)
~beware of the bomb barrels
~all teammates go to the top right corner of the boss room
~99% of mobs will go back to their position(even the mid-boss if you didn't kill them)
~but about 1 or 2 mobs still shooting, kill them or pull them to the top right corner, then they will also go back to their position
~in some case, one dead at the beginning of the rush, the team just leave him and continue the way, and the dead player res urself at entrance quickly and try to rush by urself. it have a chance that the "mods train" is focused on the team and you can chase the group from behind without any attack, or just using some red pots(that's reason we kill the 2 mid-boss)
~regroup and enjoy the boss:)
~GURG is a interesting boss, he will scram and kill the player didn't get the "green ball" in the room at the right time, actually if you turn on your device sound you can hear the sound effect before he scram.
~one simple way for GURG: just let 1healer(can res, and she'd better know how the green ball works!) and/or tank to get the "green ball", dps don't get any green ball, then when dps/tank dead, healer res them up asap, continue loop until kill the boss

That's all i know for these 3 farming boss. any suggestions and correction is welcome:)

my opinion...

2 tanks, 2 mages and 1 bird. Does not have to be 2 mages but at least 2 guys that can rez.

Gurg is Mage (pally) gets prefrence on orbs.. when its time to grab orbs, any orbs beside a mage is restricted to that mage only and other players are free to take other orbs if they wish.

On any map, if you have 1 mage or 1 person only who can rez, then you must clear snipers to room. You can leave the rest but must take out snipers. If that 1 mage dies, he will NOT be able to make it back to the room in time to rez and the party has to start all over again.

my 2 cents.

i have hosted OL pot run a long while
actually 1 pally/dex mage is enough, but not for pure mage, its not enough hp sometime in ol room
and 2-3 bears & 1-2 birds, do really well
first rush to middle portal, then all on tank pot, rush to ol then gurg
in ol room, birds take out ol's shield, and bears do max dmg, mage spam heal
after ol, rush to gurg, all to coner, if u on dmg pot, u can get it down before it scram

is OL and Keeper still impossible without tank pot..?

With a good team, each boss takes a minute, my fastest overlord solo so far (lv47) was 6:37 o.O
It is possible to use no pots, it just takes forever and u need to know how to use corners

if not on pot, need clear the way to ol
a tank go inside max dmg on ol a while, then come out use the block wall
mage and that tank stay at block wall, other mates go in to attack ol
after all mates dead inside the room, mage go in to rev
it will take a while depend on the teamwork

actually if all on pot, it takes within 5mins to finish the ol and gurg
if all not on pot, i guess it takes 10+mins

Question: does the loots really pay the pots??

Keeper is possible without pots... Done it lots of times before

OL and Keeper is difficult for random team
the quality of your teammate is not so guaranteed(w/out team work)
although they have good drops

and farming OL and keeper need pots everytime
its too expensive for me:(

full agree with ya.. sometimes when i access a random team at VL its stopping all clearing middle only... and thats really bad...
be in a team who everyone knows what have to do saves a lot time an nerves...

If you don't know your team, clearing gives you the time to learn and for the team to gell. As does doing the lesser bosses first. Just to see if the team's any good.
