I was just wondering. haha. In game you call people noobs when 1) they're close friends and you're teasing or 2) when ur raging and want to insult them. I think it would be extremely silly to be mad at someone in real life and call them a noob. What situations have you guys either pulled it off in or did it come off as completely asinine?

Lots of random times while talking with gaming friends, who understands the lingo. Using 'noob' is nothing. Using game specific references for situations is where it's at.

I'm 16 and new to the gym, my gym instructor calls me Noobie because I only bench 300 and he benches 450..
But yes people use that term all over, but to be mad and call someone a noob, you have to be a down syndrome nerd.

You must be ripped!
I think it a lot:
When someone drinks whiskey and does the whiskey face.
When someone swerves when they look at their blind spot.

I have a lot of gamer friends and was surprised I knew more internet slang than them, so I make sure and berate them untill they have to ask what a narb or a newt is.

^Lel Narb. Noob-Revolution plz.
And yes I have to admit, I call people a Noob irl OFTEN. But I got over it.
What I don't say anymore irl is ''Lol'', realized how much this portraits me as a ''no-life'' guy after someone told to me saying Lol in real is for losers. < Will never forget that moment

Where I am it's sort of become "in" to say Lol (ironically of course).
