Hi all :D
Been trying to start a sorceror with Fireball, Shield, Frost and Time but then stumbled upon how gale force is better now.
SO, my question is how is it different and can it replace frost bolt's effectiveness?
And Heal vs Shield, which is better?

As a pve mage, I have the same set of skills that you have, I would say very effective on elite runs. I can't comment about Gale because Im not personally using it. It takes practice to use it effectively and not become a scatter mage.

Heal vs Shield - if you are doing pve only, I would suggest you take the shield and you can momentarily tank and charge in the middle of the mob to freeze them and drop the time bomb. Mages are squishy, so just spam pots when your hp gets low.

I found that I had a lot more deaths when I ran with heal than I do now that I don't. Why? Because I found that I would be cheap and try to wait for shield to recharge rather than using a pot. Either that or while you are charging the skill. Either way unless you PvP, ditch heal and use pots. The small monetary cost is worth it. By now most players are experienced enough to not need a mage to watch their backs because they don't know not to get in over their head.

My personal PvE only build is currently Fire, Ice, Time, Lightning, Shield. I run full offensive and will substitute Shield for either Lightning or Time when needed for bosses or heavy mobs.

Mine too, I have LG also (6 skills), It's only 2 points, and I can now run pvp as well. Also, I use LG instead of shield in pve, when I know i have good tanker (or 2) in party.
Fire - Ice - Clock combo is amazing for clearing mobs in elite, but I find it bit too weak for the boss fight - that is why I put 3 points in Lighting.

Gale is nice, if you know how to use it. It helps with running away from red circles in a boss fight, and you can use it to push mobs into clock (but this one is tricky, usually I see sorcerers pushing mobs out, which is bad...)
