This may have already been mentioned, and its not that crucial, but it would be cool if in the menu somewhere it would show you the time. That way when Im goofing off I could goto the menu screen and check the time.

This is a good idea. Often I'm playing and lose track of time...this would be very handy.

why not? under options is good so it does not take up screen space, which is quite important.

It could at least (temporarily) appear on the side of the screen when the battery is almost dead, or half dead.

takes up screen space and distracts from the gameplay. Rather just have it in options.
