Give us an option to reset Ctf/Tdm Kills and deaths because some people (like me) have a spaztisticle (bad) kdr and maybe want to try agaiN! PLOX

Why is KDR so important?

I suggest remaking your character. Easiest solution for everyone.

Agreed. Idc if my achievements are gone, I want to reset my CTF k/d.

Lolwut? I would never delete my main. I worked too hard to get where I am. You know, I have no patience to grind, lol. :)

And KDR is important to some because some people taunt you like "oooo you have 1k kills and 4k deaths, lololololol" stuff like that. I've experienced it, because my CTF is pretty bad.

I understand that grinding to level cap is no easy feat. The reason I said "easiest solution for everyone" is because it solves Cremated's problem and also reduces the man hours/resources involved for STG. I think the implementation of this idea would take a considerable amount of overhauling the code involved with player stats/leader board. I could be wrong - I don't work for STG - so it's just my guess.

My KDR is not great either - but who cares? It doesn't accurately reflect one's skill level in PvP. There are way too many variables involved with KDR, and kills/deaths are mostly circumstantial at L36. This may be different with twink brackets - I don't know because I don't have the resilience to endure the trash talking.

The option should be to reset all your stats including your XP (returning you to level 1), PvE kills/deaths, CTF kills/deaths/flags, TDM kills/flags, and reset all your achievements.

Yes, this should be the option. What you should NOT be able to do is selectively reset certain parts of your stats that you do not like. Either all or nothing.

So in layman's terms: Create a new character with the same name? ;)

Yes! Stats are there for a reason. If we can keep resetting the parts that we don't like, then of what purpose is having stats at all?

Should my favorite baseball player be able to reset his batting average because he started off the season in a slump?

If you're going to allow people to reset their stats selectively, then why not go all out and let them just delete the deaths and keep the kills? LOL

I didn't say selectively. I no way said that. I said reset all pvp kill death counts so no Tdm kill or death and no Ctf kill or death.

If you have a bad KDR, then technically you have some actual "goal" to work for. There is always room for improvement and this seems to be a good start.

A good KDR is a reward for maintaining your character and if you didn't do that in the beginning, then tough luck.

And please don't give me a follow-up reply saying its too boring to fix it.

Right! This is why twinks who suddenly decide to level up to the cap appear to be "amazing" PvPers. In most cases, this is far from true because they obtained those stats at the L10 or whichever twink bracket. Some don't decide to PvP at all after that, because they're obsessed with their nice statistics. However, if they do choose to continue, things always have a nice way of balancing themselves out. If these twinks are not as good they appear to be (judging by their statistics), then the real masters of PvP will help pad their statistics to reveal this :). Why should we let players reset these numbers just because they think they're "ugli", as you put it. You'll have to come up with better reasoning than that in order for STG to even consider this idea.

Or they could go the pl route and allow u to hide stats

I hope they don't do this either. Stats are there for a reason, so everyone can see who you are and how good (or bad) you have done.

I dont think that you should be able to reset pvp stats only like energizeric said all or nothing. Besides having a bad ratio like me has given me something to work on :)
