On his defense I get people who ask to show for things only to offer really bad prices, just to see things or the worse of all just press the "confirm trade" button in the hope I somehow press the confirm trade button at least twice myself.

Highly possible. I know a guy who is lvl 9 and has Kersha Arcane Staff. He got it from a locked after opening a couple. I've opened over 2500 and yet to get that luck item.
