I am guessing this is why they did that secret buff for last update. So I would expect that the damage for the mythic gun will still be very good. We'll have to see how good.

Correct - we had to make sure the power levels were more in alignment. The Sorcerer in particular since the arcane is level 36 and the new mythic staff is also level 36.

Last time we had special mythic weapons weekends, the odds of looting a mythic weapon were higher than what the odds for looting mythic would normally be. Can I assume the odds of looting these new mythic weapons are boosted this weekend as well compared to looting other mythics??

I would say because there are more Mythics in the mix now, the probability of looting a Mythic out of all of them statistically has increased.

Not really my question, but I think what you say is just speculation. It could be that the chance of looting a mythic is the same and then more mythics just means a smaller chance of looting any individual one. We don't know.

But my question was specifically about the new mythic weapons. Last season when they had a limited mythic weapons weekend, they clearly stated that your chance of looting a mythic weapon was much higher than the chance of looting other mythics. They said the reason was because these items were only available for that one weekend, so they wanted more to drop, which makes sense. Obviously they also want to encourage people to open crates.

So I was just asking if the same holds true for this mythic weapons weekend.

How so? You can open Pirate Chests/Warchests/Puzzleboxes for the exact same loot (minus Arcane eggs). The drop rate may be lower, but it's still an avenue to get what you want.

I add to this, samael arcane never, never arcane weapon, all my mages Mythics purchased, ....
I spent a lot of money in this game, thousands of platinium and lockeds, to see how I really am a magician more.

Judging from personal experience to date,no.in fact i have the feeling its even lower to make it so rare.hence the sale,plats loot ending up with hundreds of crates open but 0 drop.

Thank you for a great weekend. Hopefully new myth weapons are no longer manufactured and only come out at certain time period as ripmaw and slag. Use what you can afford, legendary item also been great right now. Future more new things that will come out. Thank you for a great weekend.
