I can't speak for PvP but here is the stats you get over the mythic gun pre and post proc:

I think the stun from the gun is something you may miss. But the staff has more crit, damage, HP and armor. So you'll be able to take more beats and kill people faster. Because rogues with bows are going to still have the same amount of armor & hp. I think it more comes down to playing style.
