It kills me when a war or rogue yell this like every mage can just fill them up when they are struggling with a crappy build. Not all of us "mages" are built for support.

People who try to play without pots are the ones who usually ask you for heal. And the reason why they play without pots is because they can't afford to buy them. As been stated here, mage isn't a support character:

That was never the intended role of the Sorcerer. The Sorcerer is supposed to be AOE Damage with some control. We don't want a dedicated support character. These are steps in that direction. Crit is just becoming the Sorcerers 'thing'. Rogues will be looked at as well and have something different. Not going to just do the same update on the Rogues as I do on the Sorcerer, then their powercurve moves up equally, just leaving the warrior behind.

So no one should expect a mage to heal them. As when I play in elite I don't expect every rogue to use traps even though traps plus time shift and ice is a powerful combination. I try to work with the skills people have and don't complain about the ones they don't have.

I use heal on my Sorcerer because it still has to lvl. Else, I wouldn't.

What tends to happen to me is if I use my heal to refill mana for the party, then when I need the heal to keep from dying it is in cooldown. If you want to get your mana refilled, just hang around within range of my heal and you will get it refilled when I happen to use it, which is quite often. But unless we are doing an easy dungeon like KM3, I am not going to use it when I don't need it for myself. Same goes for PvP.

I was actually kicked out from a random party in KM3 because I don't have Heal and they bully me.

Then I decided to respec to get Heal and the bullying stops.

Lesson learned: STOP BULLYING; USE POTS!

In reality, I don't have Heal and I'll allow them to trash talk me all the time they want.
