I forget which it is but there is a debuff that gives you crazy negative crit like that. It is probably a debuff from one of the enemies in mount spyr.

I think he was fighting the Boss and got Hit from one or two wolves.
Sometimes you See this red "elixirs" thats probably the debuff grimmy said
