Need more details, but I suspect you may have the 'only items I can use' checkbox marked?

ive been looking for lv 19 pinks and purps and under
me and a few buds cant c any but some freinds can c 20+

Hrm, don't know - as far as I can tell it's working just fine. Unless the show usable items checkbox is marked, there's absolutely nothing specific to you in the searches. As of this post, for levels 1-18 there were 1 pink weapon, 5 pink armors, 1 purple armor.
