I'm not sure if there was some fatal error in the game that caused this or my phone just died on me, but I was in a Dungeon/campaign doing a quest when my phone just turned off.

It was pretty hot, so it may have been a hardware issue, but I have not been able to turn it back on...lol. I took the battery out and let it sit there for a while, it was nice and cool before I tried again and still no go. Running to Sprint store in a few to see if it can be fixed (under warrenty and I have insurance, so not worried).

Anyone encounter anything like this (whether with this new Andriod beta or past versions of the game on iOS)?

HTC Evo 4G (not rooted); less than a month old. :p

How many hours straight were you playing it ? Lol. In other games I've had it freeze up and had to do a battery pull.

Sprint has a sim card too right? I would pull the battery and sim and wait 20 mins before putting them both in for a boot up. You're pretty lucky if you've it under warranty still; could be a faulty phone :O

Ouch. There shouldn't be any way for us to cause that to happen.

Sprint has no sim card unless its a world edition or worldwide compatible phone. If its a US only phone on Sprint or Verizon it does not have a sim card.

This issue sounds like a hot cpu though. I had it happen once on my iphone 3gs while playing doom resurrection.

When I was playing my phone was charged into the usb carger on the pc. When I took it in they tried everything I had already tried to get it to turn back on, then decided to try and plug it into their charger, thinking it may have been something with my charger and sure enough it was.

They said doing intensive things like streaming videos and stuff will burn the battery even when it's plugged in, which is was happened to me...battery just died. ><

From what I know you get less of a charge if you are charging from a pc via usb cable rather than straight into the wall.
