Bard Daily Quests have changed. You may only do 1 quest per day from any of the Wandering Minstrels. Find them in the Windmoore Tavern, Traveler’s Outpost, and the Tavern in the Great City of Kraag.
You earn 10 Story Tokens from each Daily Bard Quest.
Spend Story Tokens on great rewards, like: Inventory Slots, Character Slots, Auction Slots, awesome items, and powerful pets eggs!
Face and Hair changes are now purchased with Story Tokens.
A new Bard Song has been added to the list of available Bard Songs.
Elite Wraith Heart is now working as intended. Our apologies for the prior problems with the encounter.
Corrected a bug with the Mythic Infused Orbital Staff damage reduction proc.

Either way this will provide much more motivation to do daily quests instead of being a waste of time. Lover the fact that you can purchase inv slots without having to use platinum for us non plat users.

sigh to the people who cant read and are panicing. Its 10 tokens a day not 50. 500 is coltons egg price aswell as the spider. Meaning 50 days still.

Shouldnt be that way tbh. almost 2 months for a egg isnt worth it. even if its just for 60 seconds. should be raised to at least 15 so it takes a month. not almost 2

Now one minor complaint. The increase in Egg costs like colton and gang to 500 is obviously necessary. However, you did not scale our existing tokens to reflect the new inflation prices of tokens. I mean, if i was at 199 story tokens and was gonna run my bard to get my Colton, now i'm still 300 tokens short and another couple weeks shy of my goal. If you can figure out a way to increase the existing token count without people having 2000 insta tokens in their satchel, that would be great.

Daily quests can be done every 24 hours, so yes! Log in and do your daily!

Visit the Story Token Vendor that are located next to the Wandering Minstrels. Easiest is to head to Windmoore and go into the Tavern.

In a future update we will amend the game interface to let you know that you can get inventory and character slots from the Story Token Vendors when going through that purchase flow.

What's happen with players with a lot of tokens, their tokens are worthless now?

No their tokens are worth slots and loot and pets and such. Pets will retain price probably due to token cost increases per pet like colton. Well maybe some slight decreas as he was 250i tokens which took longer in past even with multi quests compared to single 10 token quest. Time will tell

raise them in the same rate as Colton's cost went up. 200 to 500 is a 150% increase (aka 250% of the original).
People with 100 tokens were only 25 days away from a Colton--now they are 40 days away.
People who had 400 tokens had 2 Colton's worth--now they can't even afford one Colton.

100 tokens become 250.
200 becomes 500.
400 becomes 1000.
And so on.

As for someone with say, 11 tokens...I think raise it and round down to 27.

For the what to do with 'remainders,' keep them there for until you think of little things to be purchased with tokens that cost 1-3 tokens in the future.

Same number of slots. It should be noted that the system will allow you to try and grant those slots on a full character and consume the item in the process without providing you slots beyond the maximum. Be aware before you use it on a character.

I'm quite annoyed as I had 690 story tokens saved up and now their value has been greatly reduced. Yesterday I could have purchased 3 colton eggs and had some tokens left over, and today I can just buy 1. Seems like nothing in this game is a safe bet to keep your wealth in. If you keep gold, it gets devalued by inflation, if you buy items, they can increase the drop rate, and now story tokens as well. I guess I better spend my hauntlet tokens quickly before they alter that as well.

What you guys should have done instead is discontinued the old story tokens, let there be a single NPC where they can still be cashed in, and then had the new bards quests give some other new kind of token.

I spent 10 minutes per day on these quests, and now more than 100 days worth of tokens has been robbed from me. That's a lot of time wasted for nothing.

Never ceases to amaze me! good job STS. Though I have spent a lot of plats on face and hair changes; I'm glad to welcome this new method of purchasing them. Instead, we could have been given a chance to cash them in for eggs prior to the update.

Nobody could have unfairly used this information to their advantage. The price of colton eggs should stay level since it still takes the same 50 days to save up enough tokens for one, and the new items are new so having advance knowledge of them would not have mattered.

Pets can only be used on 1 character. So, if you make 2 characters, you'd have to buy pets for each character separately.

@algorythm having them on one account doesn't change anything. However, it does create some convenience for you. Easier/faster to change characters, and the stash for the characters on that account is shared! This makes it very easy and safe to transfer gold or an item from one of your characters to another (rather than hoping someone will hold your stuff for you and then return it). It is also handy to be able to swap items around to sell on the one toon you have that has extra auction slots, rather than having to get extra auction slots for all of your characters. :)

All of the above. This is really extremely unfair. In my case I had 186 tokens, 4 more days till colton, now it's 32 more days. WTH????
Why aren't you multiplying existing accounts by 2.5 to respect the effort that has been put in and preserve their value?

Furthermore, it took ***4*** quests per day, for months in some cases, to save those tokens, so even multiplying it by 2.5 is unfair. You should really multiply it by 10 to respect the effort it took to get them. However, please at least adjust it by 2.5 to preserve the buying power that had been hard-earned.

This also happened with the hellish sets. Many people paid 70 plat for lep bundle and at least one pink that was worth maybe 100k. What is that pink worth now (after halloween)? About 5k if you're lucky, in some case more like 250.

You state you have 186 story tokens, multiply that by ten and you'll get 1860 story tokens. That's absurd, but I agree with your idea that this update was just as absurd as well. Yes, and people should appreciate STS for this, but IMHO, this update (not Crawly) was a bit unnecessary.

Before, you could obtain 4 story tokens per day, and Colton costed 200 story tokens, so in 50 days, people were able to obtain Colton.

In this update, you can obtain 10 story tokens per day, and Colton now costs 500 story tokens, so again, in 50 days, people are able to obtain Colton, so basically, nothing really changed.

If STS wanted to add a new pet (Crawly), and add a few items, they should've done so without changing the amount of story tokens able to earn per day and without changing Colton and a couple other pets' price either. I think this part was really unnecessary because all you did here was screw up all the other players with 170-199 (more or less) story tokens.

If it'd were up to me, I'd keep the old prices, add Crawly's egg to be purchasable for 200-250 story tokens, make the Tenor Pendants worth around 50-100 story tokens (they're pretty useless compared to the present mythic/legendary amulets), extra character slots for 70-75 story tokens, extra inventory slots for 40-50 story tokens, extra auction slots for 25-30 story tokens, etc.

This is just a fair suggestion IMHO. STS, please consider it.

Sure, but using my example, 186 tokens represents 186 quests, that's a lot of work. At today's rate that is indeed 1860 tokens. But I agree, that's over the top because if you go by the number of days it should be 2.5, not 10. I only mentioned it because some people might think 2.5 is over the top, but really it's a minimum amount that could be considered fair I think. By days = 2.5, by quests = 10. What's actually reasonable? Let's call it 2.5. What's not reasonable? Dividing everyone's token value by 2.5 overnight.

Thanks a lot for the update! I would also like to argue about the story token issue. Could you please just multiply the story tokens of every player by 2.5. In that way, people like me who have worked hard in doing and earning 4 tokens everyday would be pleasured if you multiply their current tokens by 2.5.
In another note, will you be adding buying stash slots with story tokens in the future? Because i need them too and i know many other players out there surely need stash slots too so that we can hold on to more important items.
Please think about our suggestions. We,players, would be really thankful if you could implement these in the near future. I am sure that multiplying 2.5 story tokens to EVERY PLAYER/TOON would take a lot of time but we would really appreciate it if you could do it. Or if you guys don't want much trouble and make things easier and faster (for you and us players), you can just increase the number of story tokens every character can get by 15. I'm quite annoyed as I had 690 story tokens saved up and now their value has been greatly reduced. Yesterday I could have purchased 3 colton eggs and had some tokens left over, and today I can just buy 1. Seems like nothing in this game is a safe bet to keep your wealth in. If you keep gold, it gets devalued by inflation, if you buy items, they can increase the drop rate, and now story tokens as well. I guess I better spend my hauntlet tokens quickly before they alter that as well.

What you guys should have done instead is discontinued the old story tokens, let there be a single NPC where they can still be cashed in, and then had the new bards quests give some other new kind of token.

I spent 10 minutes per day on these quests, and now more than 100 days worth of tokens has been robbed from me. That's a lot of time wasted for nothing.

10 coins per day is not bad. but make a jail the game.. bcus if u are casual gamer u have no chance.. i don't play AL anymore but i think for the players already are playing it. theys need to play for 2 month to get 600 coins and buy 1 pet (and go to auc and sell for 200k LOL) and 100 coins more for slot ON 2 MONTHS.

if u are a casual gamer u can't get it imagine if u don't play all the days maybe 3-5 month to get this..

i think this coin can be ''tradable'' and people can get more easy.

Most ppl didn't even pay attention to bard quests because it was x amount for the pets or just wasn't worth doing. Even now, you have to wait the same amount of time to get the pets. For the non-plat user, this is the great gift. I bought inv/auction slots with plat but I'd rather spend it on other things. I was one of the few ppl who would actually go around arlor doing the bard quests and even though I was close to getting Colton, I didn't care because there are other great things being offered. Like you said, all it takes is time. Patience is key :)

The update is very annoying and demotivating. I just had 201 story tokens. And now the value of it is a lot less. And again I need to play a lot to get colton. It sucks and it is unfair.

The bards update is good/great if you have 500 or more tokens. I had 700+ and 1 spider earned me a couple of mils. Before the update it could only make me around 550k for 3 coltons.
Yeah good update for me, bad for other who are about to collect 200 tokens in a few days.
