Graphics issue

When i open PL,it says "Oops! Your graphics have failed to initialize! You probably need to update your video card driver!".
I am using a windows 8 64 bit desktop,got it less than a month ago brand new.
not being able to open PL cause me to miss my daily blessing.
If you gusy have any suggestions,please respond ASAP.

i have the same issue, solved using the older version of chrome

I haven't had this issue in the past, but when I tried to log on tonight, I got this error message also. I updated everything imaginable on my (new) computer...so it's not my graphics card...and this hasn't happened before when I've played on chrome on the same computer. I'm not sure if I can get an older version of chrome at this point... Any other ideas?

My old pc used to say that. But in its case it was propably true :p its really old

new computer costs less than a graphics card on amazon (i saw one on there for $2000 O.O)

But...I have a new computer and graphics card. It's not an issue of having something out of date with my computer. It used to work...now it doesn't. I've updated the driver, the OS (Windows 8 to 8.1), and java. Otherwise, the computer has no errors and is working great...only PL has a mysterious issue. Not sure what else I can check.
