Can't add friends

I just installed the game on my Nexus One. I can't seem to add any friends. When I click on "Add Name", it allows me to type a name in but when I click "Done" on the keyboard it just drops me back to the friends screen with no indication that it accepted my input. I've also tried to have my friend add me from their account but I have not received their request.

Anyone else having these problems?

There is currently no confirmation for sending a request, and if you are not in the same place as that person they my not get the request immediately. Also, if either of you are ignoring the other the friend requests will not go through. We plan to improve the friend system within the next few months to address these sorts of things.
