The Forgotten Battlemage

My character Giggly is a Battlemage (Enchantresses with high strength) and today I reached level 50 (OOOO YEAH ;). After reaching level 50 I whimsically dashed off to the auction house and over paid for high level str armor (not Rift, but lev 50 pink). I rerolled my stats, suited up, equipped my "Plasma Axe of Rift," and went off to help a friend fight the Frost King. I soon realized that my Mana was not regenerating (my mana regen level was 2) and I had no means of casting spells (the life blood of a Battlemage)! After almost getting pummeled by the Frost King and minions, I realized the importance of mana regeneration and searched for level 50 strength armor with high (+5 or +6) mana regeneration points. To my surprise I found none. At level 45 I found very good strength armor with high mana regen like "Myans Plate Mail of Thoth" and "Myans Helm of Thoth." Is there equivalent armor for level 50?

There is lvl 50 Thoth. Or u can buy rift 0 mana WTF!!!!!!

Battlemages drink mana pots lots. Or keep one or two thoth items to get regen to 7

I use rift armour and a plasma sword of Thoth. Dps sucks but I do more damage with skills/debuffs anyways

The battle Mage was born in ao1 when str equip had the best mana regen. In ao2 it was a toss up because all classes got thoth. In ao3, the str Mage is all but dead and the queen is the dex Mage with full void (5 m/s on each piece). The int Mage is making a comeback with the insane damage of the keepers, but majority of high level mages I see are rocking the void talon / shield.

There ARE lvl 50 thoth, it's just the devs cut off the drops of all lvl 50 thoth after a few days, so if you happen to find someone selling one, be prepared for some crazy prices

You can find level 50 Thoth items for pretty cheap. Also, l45 spear of Thoth isn't a bad option if you are really strapped for cash

I have a spear of Thoth I bought for 2k, plasma sword of Thoth for 30k an kopesh of Thoth for 60k. That what you were talking about?

The best way to go is with Thoth buckler, and the rest rift. Then you have 6 ms. Can add another Thoth if you must, but I don't recommend using a weapon for that. Shock lance is a much better weapon, or the Sunblessed scimitar for more armor. IMO.

Depends on how you play I suppose. If you spend most of your time doing normal damage without taking hits, buckler is a good way to go. I, however, prefer to run into mobs and spam skills while taking hits for birds/int mages who do far more dps than I can. So I'd rather have as high of def as possible.

What is the best equipment set up for Battle Mages at Level 50? I understand that you just go for all the Str Thoth pieces, but what about weapons? Or, is it better to get some Thoth but not all? Just enough strength to wear equipment, and the rest in Dex? I hear you are supposed to place just a few points into INT as well, but how many? What does everyone think?

Are you talking about lvl 45? Anyway, I found a guy who sold me a djinn blade of thoth lvl 50 for 100k.

Spear is 45, other two are 50. And gear/point builds all depend on personal preference, budget and playing style. Experiment around :)
