True Hero

People say heroes were born - not made.
But I hate to rain their parade...
Heroes are those who are exemplary!

It all started when I began to search this "Arlor" land - it was very hard,
I tried my best, but my best was always the wrong card.

Kill death ratios were off the hook.
So I search advice, but you cannot just get that in a book.

Level 26 came, and yet no mythic item!
I bow my head down seeing that I did not make it into fame...

I tried to make ends meet,
but there was always defeat!

Almost in the elite level of 31 - I felt good.
I wasn't a hero just yet, but I felt as if I should...

By level 31, I was still in misery.
Everyone seemed better than me, to be like that hero - It was something I wanted to be.

There was a place to ask for advice.
But I was so shy, I could not break the ice.
But one day,
I decided to sweep my misery away.

I asked the experts of Arlor all these questions for help.
They seemed intrigued by my yelp.

Soon I began to learn more than I thought.
Then it was gone - my distraught.

I felt so powerful then!
Nordr was a land where I said, "I can!"

Still I was not a hero.
I wasn't a big fat zero,
But I was a proud Arlorian!

Later, I journeyed to the land of Shuyal where the elite level was 36.
Looking at the others who were level 36, I decided I needed something to fix.

I grinded the old experience bar until my bones felt numb,
But I was dumb.
The 26,000 EXP to the elite level of 36 was too far away.
So I said in my head, “We can do this just like before! Ay?”

Many days flew by,
But I had something to be proud of – it was no lie…
I was level 36,
And there was nothing left to fix…

I didn’t care then if I was a hero or not.
I had already accomplished my goals and it was a lot.

My guild recognized me as a loyal one,
And that is something that cannot be won!
As they cheered me on and pounded my back,
I realized I had nothing to lack…

I already was a hero.
I was a number one with a double zero.

I felt wise.
These words are no lies.
To be a hero wasn’t to be the best.
It was to be an exemplary character…I had passed that test.

No mythic item could make me feel what I feel now.
So that day I made a vow:
I promise to be a TRUE hero in every way.
I will dash to the land where dangers lay,
I will help those in need of assistance,
I will use the art of persistence,
And last of all…I will make the only thing I need a word of thanks.
Now in these days,
I take the path with an award that truly pays,
The path to exemplary character is one I take.
These words are not fake.

To this day when I am feeling down, I remember the words:
Being a hero is being of exemplary character.
Having the most gold will not make you what you already are.
Only giving to those in need,
Or being loyal to those you serve will truly change you.
So think before you price that egg for 100k.
Sure you can waste huge profit, but think – there is someone in need.

I still have a lot of room to improve…but I am glad that I found out that I was a true hero!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That was when I first started out here in AL which was in the time of the Nordr expansion!
The hero stuff was according to the main quest line which includes helping others and getting a good reward!
Thank you, I tried to make it rhyme all the way, but in the ending, I couldn't figure out how to make some parts rhyme lol.
