71 bird: phantom or flying?

Thanks to the double xp weekend I am leveling a bird to 71. As don't have a clue about dex gear: which set is better fitting for a pure dex pve farmer?

Doesn't really matter in PvP, as I would assume that you would be farming with thrashers. But I would go with flying, because the extra damage output is more helpful, IMO.

Phantom 1v1 for the kite and dodge. (Damage doesn't really matter cuz both sets have close SKILL damage). Flying for FFA/ctf. Both are very good tho in either mode

When farming a lower level campaign or with a mage that can rev, flying is better since every bit of damage makes the runs go faster. Otherwise use phantom to make sure you don't die as often.

Phantom is very useful in Humania and BSM. Use it, it has higher range, very useful. When farming below Humania/Mt. Fang, flying so you can clear out mobs quicker.
EDIT: I FORGOT, Phantom is EXTREMELY useful against bosses like Count Vlod, or KOAL, and Red Dragon.

Thanks for the useful feedback! For now I will stick with Angel gear + cheap pink 71 bow as prices for sets are too dammm high atm

I'd hide it under vanity armor and helm, so I wouldn't even enjoy the cool green. Only the bow would show - and you gotta admit phantom bow looks better than flying ;)

Pros just run in and scream+blast, while dodging everything.

Flying gives blind proc, and phantom stunt proc + more range.

Id do phantom. if your 70 do phantom because your at the high end of a pvp zone (you would pvp with 60-70) or (66-76) and you wont interfere with 71-76 pvpers. (since flying or other 71 sets to 76 sets are more op compared to 70) If your already 71 go with flying. I prefer phantom though (just my idea)

I am very active at lv 56-71, which also includes a 70 phantom bird and a 71 flying bird and i can tell, there is like 1 game in 2 weeks hosted by a lv 65, all others are hosted by 66 to 71, so there is no reason to stay at lv 70...i´d got for flying talon set with good dodge

agree with you, but you also need a bit more gold, for the start a flying talon set will do i guess hehe

I'd say flying, it was best when I did 71 bird. Flying bow or talon set can easily kill phantom.
