Try find it on Nord map. Almost all portal open on elite.

Portals are so easy to find. Today I spent a half hour and alternated between south seas and ydra forest, and found 4 portals during that time.

well at least you're trying - there's an increasing amount of toons that hop into the southern seas map, and go idle or run into the corners, and just wait for the other players to kill the boss.

Southern seas is the way to go! I'm 26 and got I think 3/6 portals there so far. Had a nice 3/3 streak but then they started hiding..

Takes about 2 minutes to do with a warrior and rogue.

Portals are common in Southern Seas, just keep farming there. I've got 17 portals today alone from running there, and 2 Tarloks plus a Thor.

Some days my portals come every other boss! Other times,.its 10 runs before one drops. Luck is very much a factor here

I'm sorry but I dont see how you could run for 5 hours straight without finding a single portal unless you're running the Brackenridge maps that aren't supposed to have them. (even though they do sometimes) I've run Mount Spyr for the chance at elite Bael and Im getting portals there probably 75% of the time, over dozens of runs.

I also did spend 5 hours running all Ydra maps, sequentially then back to start, without a single portal.
On level 15-16 toons.
For low level players, they just drop much less. Lv36 gets them very often, same maps. No idea why it would be this way.

SS, Valheim and the Elite Nordr/Shuyal yields the best for me.
