Beginners Guide to Merching:

[Auction]: Now listen your gonna wanna have less than 5 auction slots because your not gonna make a lot of gold fast. Your gonna wanna range around 10-50 auction slots or more. Remember the more slots you have the more items you can sell and make more gold.

[Tips]: Do not buy an item you can't afford or don't buy an item that costs half of your gold you will lose gold. Sometimes these items won't sell or sometimes the prices will drop if there cheaper then what you bought do not sell until the prices get higher.

These items you get from Locked Grand of the Watch Crates which cost 15 Platinum each. Which are this seasons items.

Low Level and Selling Items:

Locked Grand of The Watch Crates:
- Sell for 11,000 - 12,000 each

Dimensional:

Level 7 - 25

- Daggers of Force and Tactics
Range from 7,000 - 30,000 gold in Auction

- Maul of Grace and Savvy
Range from 5,000 - 45,000 gold in Auction

- Percussion of Brutality and Assualt
Range from 5,000 - 65,000 gold in Auction

Prices above this is quite ridiculous to buy you won't make money.

Devourer:

Level 7 - 25

- Bow of Potency and Brutality
Range from 30,000 - 300,000 in Auction

- Staff of Force and Fatality
Range from 7,000 - 60,000 gold in Auction

- Maul of Assault and Potency
Range from 30,000 - 300,000 gold in Auction

[Auction and Crafting]:

- Crafting your items will add a little gold difference.

All you need is Time and Patience.

I like that you stated fair price ranges for items. Hopefully ppl will read this and know when some things are overpriced

I love these merching threads. Here's some advise on merching..... If you have certain items you merch, and you tell others about those items and many people start doing it, it will no longer work. Merching only works if you don't have competition. Once you tell your secrets, it ceases to be useful.

Then again, you have to take into account how many people are actually going to do this... There are a lot of lazy bums out there including myself.

That and alot of merching requires somewhere to start via Plat or Gold.

No offense, but what part of this is about merching? The only thing you did was contradict yourself on the amount of items slots, tell people not to spend a lot, and post prices from cs...

That's what I used to think, but since EVERYONE wants to be a merchant in this game, the more ~impatient~ competition you have, the better you actually do.

Yes, but is forgetting you bought something a month ago and it happens to go up in price really considered patience?

The way to make money merching is to find items that are priced too low, buy them, and then relist them at a higher price. If too many other players are looking for the same items as you are and at the same price, you will no longer be able to find any as there will be too many people looking for too few items.

I just started using cs not too long ago, prob a month ago. Now I'm 30k from my first mil. Everyone has different tactics and no, I'm not going to divulge mine. Kei and I practice the same merching philosophy though, I can say that much.

There are actually crates called Locked Grand Crate of the Witch.... They are farmable by killing the second boss of Brackenridge, which hardly anyone does... That's why you never see them around.

Or too many people relisting the same item at a higher price at the same time ...

Merchanting is a child's game, forecasting & price manipulation is where the real cash is at.

This ^^

I would prefer and more interested in functional things & game mechanism rather, than merchant mental training and how to open locked crate guides, but this is me.

Kei is right, merching, the real kind that has the greatest amount of profit requires a significant amount of investment gold. I would say somewhere around 3-6m, this way you can buy fairly cheap mythics and turn a respectable profit. Anything less than that basically requires constant auction house stalking to find items, and let's be honest, aint nobody got time for that.

I know of a guildie who does the latter and makes a **** ton of gold, but he spends almost all his in-game time watching the cs. I don't have that kind of dedication, and I believe very few do when they could be looting and doing things more active as they play.

Isn't that everything to Merching.. Instead of posting paragraphs for days which no one reads?? :)

Merching isn't just opening locked crates. You could probably get more gold just buying it with the plat you'd use on crates.
