Why did you choose your class?

Exactly what the title says. Why did you pick to be a Mage, archer or bear. From my experience, it shows a lot about one's personality!

I picked Ursan because I thought they were the only ones that looked intimidating. I then proceeded to give him a panda bear face and nappy cap.

mage, since a support character that could pack a punch sounded good.

later a str bird seemed like a good way to completely bog down the enemy, when mages started to lose out in AO3. became less support, more individual, and lately trying out more tanking.

I picked a Bird initially, because I play alot of dex characters from other games (Assasins, Rangers etc.)

It's something about the speed and ability to dodge :)

Bird Archer... Dunno, I always seem to pick Agi/Dex type characters in all MMO's that I play.. Even waaay back in Diablo2, My main is a Bowazon, and I PvP as Sorc with enough Dex to block often. In WoW, My main is a Rogue :O

It's more on survivability really.

Tanks are boring classes. Mages rely on clicking alot.

As for Dex based classes, you need to be more on your toe and come up with a strategy :)

Bird first (echoing the Diablo I and II comment). Sucked at it. Built a Mage and a bear at about the same time--distance fighter and the ability to just thwack things on the head. Back to bird now just because it's so fun (and I've gotten to see a lot of really good birds in the meantime and improved my skills).

Same here. I always pick casters. Mage in WoW, and I'm pretty sure my GW character is a Necro/Mesmer, but I haven't played it for a while.

I picked a bear 'cause I thought I would die less playing a tanky, only downside is the potion addiction keeps me poor.

Bear has proved to be quite fun, but I am sure I have made more than one Mage say rude things in my time in groups.
