Issues with party system when accessing paid tarlok dungeon

If I party someone and try to join when they're in with tarlok I can't join (says I have to be invited) and if I have already bought a tarlok elixir it converts to a goblin elixir, making me lose 4 plat. If I haven't purchased access yet and try to join with the "buy" button it sells me a goblin elixir and won't let me join my friend I'm partied with.
