I'm not a good source of information. What I'll say may be 100% bull. But I have heard that, if you know the market, you can watch it closely and buy things that are put in CS at too low a price then sell them for what they are really worth. But that takes a level f knowledge I do not have.

Not necessarily.. Just yesterday I saw a Grimm Hood in cs for 10k... Bought that and sold for 100k.

If u are poor and want to make money
1) cap
2) farm lockeds
3) sell lockeds
now u have money for pots
4) enter a elite map
5) kill all the mobs to the boss. kill the boss.
6) check in Cs if what u looted from the boss worths something.
7) sell it if it worth something if it doesn't throw it away.
repeat from 4 to 7 till you think you are satisfied.
repeat from 2 to 3 if you finish money for pots.

Yep, try and get the leprecahunt pendant and whenever u get a reroll elix from klass/ shaz go farm brackenridge/ydra forest

Best to conserve money during the first few levels of your character.
Yes, farming and merching is a great way to progress in money making. I personally started out with getting some free plat and convert it into gold to keep me going.
Then again, 25k was more then 250k to me at that time. And the value of gold was really high. I could afford many things when I had 25k. :/
