Maybe you need 1 try maybe 3000... You cant say how many you need to open till you get something.
Its all based on luck. Also drop rates are pretty low.

The best thing that i got in a elite chest was in 2 Season in one Elite Banded Golden Chest and I dropped a Demonlord Robe Of Security Level 20

Since that day i didn´t open an elite chest.

at elite bosses! elite warchests at nordr-elite dragon chests at tindirin/elite puzzleboxes at shuyal each expansion had their own diff chests!
