Like them. Engi buff is a bit overpowered in my opinion. 10 seconds of +30 damage and +60 crit? A bit too much. Should be one or the other in my opinion.

Well eng really needs a buff in terms of dmg, also given com having the rage crit buff, Kinetic res 2 sec +35 dmg buff, and self bb combo, op with amp pain and precision (adds crit and hit) and all that dps skills, eng needs some steroids for dishing pain too, esp the group buff is critical for STS and later lvls ,where mobs have insane armor/hp and some with insane regen (vular tanks on sts...)

It's really like a 10 second AoE buff version of Kinetic res. with crit buff.

EDIT: alright maybe it is a bit op...

Though SL is a sci-fi game where everything is high tech, close combat should still be an option. As we have seen in several other sci-fi games/movies (HALO, Star Wars, etc)

1. Blade/Light-sabre (FFA) Reference: Metal Gear (High frequency blade), Star Wars (Lightsaber)
Pretty much a close-combat version of pistol/rifles, so choices will be short blade/light-sabre (one handed), Long blade/light-sabre (one handed), and two-handed Long blade/light-sabre. Should dish more dps than pistols/rifles (since close combat) and give more stat bonuses (sacrifice kiting chance).

Hypothetical weapon spec

Surplus short HF blade
lvl 2
2-5 dmg
0.3 sec attack speed
3 hit chance
1 crit

Surplus long HF blade
lvl 2
3-7 dmg
0.4 sec attack speed
2 crit
1 dodge

Surplus two-handed HF blade

2. Turbo Hammar (Commando specific) Reference: HALO (Gravity Hammar)
Commando close combat weapon, should be very slow but does heavy dmg. Gives more stat bonus than cannons (since close combat sacrifice kiting chance)

Surplus turbo hammer
lvl 2 Commando
8-12 dmg
1.1 sec attack speed
9 armor
1 dodge


3. Dual blades/light-sabre (op specific) Reference: Metal Gear (High Frequency Blades) Star Wars (Lightsaber)
Instead of redundantly adding a new class, just give ops the blades. Insane dps and more stat bonus than dual pistols. (insane dps b/c ops would immediately get destroyed if there isn't a good com taking the hits)

Hypothetical weapon spec

Surplus dual HF blades
lvl 2 Operative
1-3 dmg
0.2 sec attack speed
2 hit chance
1 crit


4. Gravity Fists (Engineer specific) Reference: HALO-ish (Gravity Hammer)
Another pair of gloves for the fellow engs, and the best part is: You get to punch ppl in the face with them. FAAAAAAAAACE! More stat bonus than hand blasters.

Hypothetical weapon spec

Surplus dual gravity fists
lvl 2 Engineer
2-4 dmg
0.3 sec attack speed
2 Int
1 crit

Though SL is a sci-fi game where everything is high tech, close combat should still be an option. As we have seen in several other sci-fi games/movies (HALO, Star Wars, etc)

I'm trying my best to use STS logic, it might happen. Btw these only took me like 5 min b/c to be serious these are not very hard to come up with, STS logic ftw!

true... but eng are the ones who die the most... during 40-51.... so we need some power.

Don't make it overpowered, but just good enough

nice thing tho... I like it... SL dev's won't have to work that much

but the lvl2 weapons seem to low leveled.... We would like things for lvl50-56

we are going forward... not backwards tho

These are just examples for demonstrate, shouldn't be difficult to come up with later lvl ones.

So I can see that PL got two new classes (ranger and paladin), and I suggest STS to add some to SL too. Of course, since SL is different from PL the classes would be different too.

Commencing brainstorm

...

Sniper

The original idea is of course from...scorn snipers. But of course this class won't be able to one hit kill everything like the scorn snipers. However, as the name suggest, this class can do massive dmg in one hit, with much better hit rate. The unfortunate drawback would be low armor and slow atk speed.

Base stat: 5 str, 1 dex, 3 int.

Role: single target nuke.

please do not give up on the sniper concept it will work, and the other guy in your other thread said something about technician, it works too.

Allows players to message each other without the need for the receiver to be online.

Message could include items/credits.

Easter-Eggs contents

Let's face it, companies want their stuff to be advertised (that's why the free plat offers are there, right?). By doing so, STS can also gain some extra cash in the process. But here's a potentially entertaining way of advertisement that I haven't find the STS heavily using yet, Easter-Eggs. The truth is, this advertising technique has been implemented by many gaming companies I know, which includes Konami, Capcom, etc.

Yes I know I know the valentine/christmas vanities are there for a reason, but the contents I mean are the ones relating to other games/movies/anything.

So basically how it works is the company who wants to be advertised can sign a contract of some sort (sorry I'm not really an expert in those kind of stuff) with STS to implement an easter egg of some sort relating to the products of that company.

So what STS can do here is they can hook up with some company who wants to be advertised, and add some new vanity/equipments that are in tribute of that company's products.

But we can't just call it blessing b/c this is a Sci-Fi game, so let's come up with a new name...

Experimental Augmentations
Course: 1 week (with goody at end of week of course, for your pain and suffering)

Day 1: Augmentation 1.0 - 1.25x random, could be dmg, armor, or xp. With a 0.75x penalty on hp, mana, OR -1 hp regen or mana regen, which is almost neglegible but there for show, side effects of augmentation, pain and suffering. Last a day (offline time included)

Day 2: Augmentation 2.0 - 1.50x random, could be dmg, armor, or xp. With a 0.80x penalty on hp or mana. No regen deduct as a choice. Starting to get use to the augmentation. Last a day (offline time included)

Day 3: Augmentation 3.0 - 1.75x random, could be dmg, armor, or xp. With a 0.85x penalty on hp or mana. Used to it even more. Last a day (offline time included)

Day 4: Augmentation 4.0 - 2.00x random, could be dmg, armor, or xp. With a 0.90x penalty on hp or mana. Used to it even more. Last a day (offline time included)

Day 5: Augmentation 5.0 - 2.50x random, with choices of TWO from dmg, armor, or xp. With 0.95x penalty on hp or mana. Last a day (offline time included)

Day 6: Augmentation 6.0 - 3.00x random, with choices of TWO from dmg, armor, or xp. With no penalty. Last a day (offline time included)

How about a bomber instead of a sniper.

It would be a class with extremely low armor, long range weapon, bombing weapon (rockets), high dodge, low critical, very high damage.

It would be a hybrid between a Commando and an Operative

i thought about extreme high dodge, very low armor, Extreme high damage multi target, speed 1.2

So its a destroying machine made to stay back and do damage. It can do group buffs, like crit and dodge, armor too. Basically, it hold a rocket, like eng hold handblasters, op hold dualweapons and com hold heavyweapons

well, most actual players are very active. so this will be very bad for lower players, or new players. The buffs are extremely high. With that, i can cap within a week. If damage is highered, the farming rate will be obviously lowered.

I suggest:

Day 1: Increase 1.0 - 1.05x random, could be hit, armor, or xp. Last a day

Day 2: Increase 2.0 - 1.1x random, could be hit, armor, or xp. Last 2h

Day 3: Increase 3.0 - 1.15x random, could be hit, armor, or xp. Last 2h

Day 4: Increase 4.0 - 1.25x random, could be hit, armor, or xp. Last 1h

Day 5: Increase 5.0 - 1.25x random, with choices of TWO from dmg, dodge, or xp. With 0.95x penalty on hp or mana. Last 1h

Day 6: Increase 6.0 - 1.50x random, with choices of TWO from dmg, dodge, or xp. With no penalty. Last 1h

Day 7: Increase Finale - 1.25x dmg, armor, and xp.+1.1x reroll. last 30min. Next day, the Increase stays same, last for 30min.

We can substitute daily enhancer, with this increase!
