Bugged Arena

So today we decided to get all arena aps on our alts. We should have got 3, but actually got 0. We (myself Emma koomy ) all did proximity curse, rutger AND blood hammer and received no ap points.

No this was not because we got hit/died/didn't kill him within the time, we have all got these aps on our main accounts and we know what we are doing.

What's going on guys?

Unfortunately, as you probably know, all of the arena achievements have had serious bug problems ever since the begining of the arena. In addition to the randomness element of finding all the bosses with the right environments and finding the challenger, I find these achievements some of the most annoying and most non fun achievements in game. Despite the numerous threads pointing out all of the bugs in the arena including the achievement bugs, I think this issue has recieved little attention from STS. The only fix I can remember is the Bloodhammer one hit issue which was finally fixed after much moaning. I pity anyone having to do these achievements now when not that many people are still doing the arena.

I've Done Arena 30-50 times in hopes of finishing Aps I have yet to complete The Challenger(which I've been hunting for soooooo long) and bloodhammer vortex which I find a few times but I messed up and died. the only AP in arena that I think is unfair is Challenger in my opinion it's harder to get than bael and krunch...
and yeah there is still many bugs in arena

Alright i guess thats pretty much. And i leaved out threads talking abt Bloodhamers K.O. hit, as that was fixed already.
Most threads talk abt being locked out from arena when fighting Frostir and dieing by encounter.
Many threads repeat itself but heey, no one pays attention to them....still....

Bugs I Have Seen:
•Bloodhammer does not give AP under 3mins sometimes
•Arena Locks After everyone dies so you may not go back in basically the run was useless
•Vortex Crystal Can Affect people outside the arena.
•Mardroms(Not sure if that's how you spell it) range is extremely large its probably twice as large as the red circle that surrounds(just an estimate)
•Mardrom Randomly resets sometimes(don't know if that happens with other bosses)even when players are still I'm arena
•Minor Bug: Chat says defeat bloodhammer under a minute when he is not the present boss

these are some of the bugs I have seen if I missed any ill add later.

Haha Yeah I'm a rogue too and I often solo to last boss that's when I Inv people so they have a chance at good loot. I soloed with a war before took 30mins+ so I stopped with a rogue it takes 10-20mins so yeah solo for other classes is not the best...

To get the bloodhammer ap u can't rely on the timer u see on the top of the screen...
There is a second timer which starts the moment the shark appears. That's the rt timer that if stopped under 3mins gives the AP.
The most of the players ignore that n rely on the fked timer. That's why it happens that even if they think they killed the boss under the time limit, actually they did not n they can't get the ap...
I know this cause it took months for me to get the damn shark ap (at the time there was also the one hit bug that made practically impossible to get that ap... so only when STS fixed that bug n I realized there still was the timer bug left I could get the ap without being deceived by the fked timer)

I think i did Happy Halloween Arena ap (the pumpkins ap) aroud 5 times before i actually got ap, ppl in my party that were in arena with me, they got ap n i didn't for several times, its so bugged lol i complained earlier, but nth happened...

two weeks ago, i killed bloodhammer with crystal in less than 3mins (anybody died) but havent received ap...

I didn't come across any bugs lol I completed some upon release and I only got my last few a month ago ...
If it bugs repeat it, it may just occur the once :)

The bugs are annoying. Yesterday I went with two friends. One of them and myself needed Bloodhammer with Vortex. We got it on first try by coincidence. And we went ahead. Halfway in I get a message about achievement, Something about one minute.

We finished and I got ap along with dimensional gladiator (finally). Thing is my friend who needed it as well didn't get it and we literally did same thing, nobody died, donein time etc.

Would be nice if these issues got fixed, people arre wasting money on pots in a game where making money is hard enough only to have something as basic as an achievement not be reflected.

Thanks for taking the time to post your concerns. I think part of the problem with the Gladiator Arena achievements is that they are end game achievements (they're designed to be hard) and for the other reasons you point out above (the timer and the fact that you can't go straight to the right boss and environmental effect that you want to try).

I've asked our QA team to look into these again, but I know from our side we have verified that the achievements do work. If you can be more specific about what you did and why you are concerned, any further details can be very helpful for us in tracking down issues with these achievements.

Can i ask what u mean more specific? Because there were so many threads, so many posts that repeat itself, and whatever is going to be post i think will be the same.

And not only the achievements but also bosses and boss fight is buged in some cases, also already multiple threads exists on this...

Our testing team ran through the achievements and all of them are complete-able as per their design.

So really, it's figuring out under what circumstances your experience differs from what was designed. To that end, if you can go into detail about what happened and why you think it didn't work correctly and be specific about what happened. A great way to do this is to list out chronologically what happened.

So for the neigborhood spider achievement we need to kill Glob, Stahl, Rutger with spiders.
I can say i killed all three multipletimes without deing when fighting them. In different arena runs. But the achievemnt msg that i got the achievement poped up right after i killed Glob with pumpkins..... Just came, fight, didnt die, thats it, in both cases, i mean fighting with spiders and pumpkins, but the achievement was granted only after encounter with Glob accompanied by pumpkins.

My friend had similar experience. I was helping him. By one of our arena runs we got Stahl, Rutger and Glob one after each other but with different enviroment, i dont remember exactly which, but only one fight was Boss+spiders, other 2 different enviroment. And surprise after we killed the last Boss of the Three needed he got the achievemnt, even when not all of the 3 Bosses were with spiders. We just came, fought and didnt die and Glob, Rutger and Stahl spawned one after the other.

And abt Shark Bouncer achievement, i think the timer for the achievemnt being different from the timer for the arena run is missleading. Many players dont realize it differs. And they think they have more time as it really is.
There is a message that pops up when only one minute is left for the achievement to be completed, but this message also shows up by any Boss that has vortex crystals as enviroment.

This is what i experienced and could think of right now that concerns achievements.

Correct me If I wrong - for pumpkin with rutger ap NOONE need to hit by pumpkin.

Me and my friend(both rogue) got rutger with pumpkin. My warrior also wanted that ap so I switched to warrior. We cleared nearest pumpkin near the corner and then pulled boss - noone hit by pumpkin as well. During whole fight not a single pumpkin pulled but at end of fight my friend got ap but I didnt. I might be wrong - who draw attention of pumpkin to clear area between boss and corner; that person dont get ap.

No way! I spent over a month and 300+ runs to find that guy. Nobody's taking my Achievement away after that much work. :playful:
