Event (Tarlok's) gems that are currently crafting

This is more of a question for devs... In a mad rush I decided to use plat to buy essence to craft some of Tarlok's gems before the event ends. What will happen if the patch pushes through while they are still crafting? Will i loose the gems?

If you read the announcement for the event, you will see that crafting of the winter chests and gems will be available until January 13. I am actually suprised that there was such a run up of prices of these gems in the last day or two, but I guess most people assumed crafting of them ended today :p

Thanks! I'm sure I'll be doing the same mad rush on the 13th lol I just hope there's something in place for gems that are crafting so they won't be lost :)
