I've seen many naked mages running around in town with 0 pvp kills and 5K deaths.
These are "dummies" used to farm kills. (Why Mages? Because they are squishy and the easiest to kill.)
This is not fair. Most of the twinks dont deserve a place on the leaderboards.
Most of them think they are "pros" by killing new players and than insulting them.
I feel bad for these new players.
Pls STS do something about this. :mad:
Remove low levels from the leaderboards and make it only lvl 30+!..
This would stop them from kill farming and it would be more fun to play.

I know many players are against this idea.. but these are only players that likes to farm kills with dummies. ;)

I know there are some players that farm at higher levels. But it's much harder to make a high level "dummy". On lower level it's ridiculous. There are so many twinks farming kills on a Dummy. Or they'll farm you if your are a Mage or not in a guild. This destroys all the fun.

It would need a lot of work but the solution can be to put a limit on how many times one player can kill the same toon per day. This will discourage them a bit, although it doesnt guarantee a total stop to farming kills.

I encountered another kill farmer in TDM blatantly farming naked mages. And when I asked them if it was them they admitted it. I sent the appropriate screen shots to STS support. I hope they take the appropriate actions and stop this behavior.

Some players joined Elite Twinks to boost their kd on low level, cause they know ET is the best at their bracket. And as far as I know some of this booster level up to endgame as well.

Anyway not all twink farm kills. It is easier to get kills on low level but that doesn't mean they farm.

Hi Emmacheese,

I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. It is an unfortunate part of how the Legends PvP system was originally designed. We have kill farming in all of the Legends games and as you can probably surmise, setting up a more robust matchmaking system is no small undertaking (since we haven't bit into that yet through 4 years of Legends gaming). This is why we don't have an expansive set of PvP rewards since we know they can be cheezed by kill farming. In part, it's an inherent issue with the Free-to-Play and cross platform nature of Arcane Legends.

It's the same with, say, the forum reputation system. If you _really_ want some extra green bars on your forum avatar you could farm free forum accounts, but, what does that get you? Just some green bars that only have the meaning that others put on it - likewise kill counts are just some numbers on your avatar display, really. So, please take the kill leaderboard for what it is.

Give some credit to kill farmers, it's literally the most boring thing in the game and somehow they can kill farm for hours a day. Im active officer from elite twinks with kdr 6000+ kills / 54 dths / 7900+ flags (its pure pvp..never doing dummy kills or paying noobs to be my dummies)..Ive been playing this game since s2..and i got first banner for ctf flags in s3..

Just want to clarify..we have more than 1000 members..mostly active on lvl 2-9..u know how complicated to manage more than 50 players r getting ol at same time..
I can assume..some of new member join us to protect em..even we dont know if one or 2 players r dummying..so since 1 2 weeks ago we have some regulations before joining et or to be a part of our family..such as u need 1k kills for rouge n mage..n 500 kills for warrior..this rules to prevent a spy from other guild for spying us..after that they will be tested by our rec or offic..and we dont tolerate for dummy killer in our guild..if we catch someone doing dummy kills..I can make sure..we will kick her out ASAP..

Last but not least..i know some ppl in this thread r ET haters..or i can addressed directly to the guild "the god ar**"..

I have been in pvp since day 1 it was introduced in AL. Through knowledge gained and learning experience I made it into the LB. I rarely run away from a fight even when the odds are against me. You can see this from the number of deaths I have.

My reason for trying out twinking at level 6 was because I thought it would be a level playing field since minimal points are used and everyone would be geared almost equally. Skills would determine the outcome of each fight. Boy I was wrong. I feel pity for the new players as their pvp experience would definitely turn out to be a nightmare.

I'm not here making up stories. I was merely relating my experience and hope that the people who can make a difference at this level make some improvements to make pvp a healthier and fun place instead of the constant thrash talking and gang banging and spot blocking.

My ign is Laracrit if you're asking. I'm in a solo guild created by my main for the guild charter AP. If you know me at endgame then you would know that I'm not the type who would complain nor whine.

I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. It is an unfortunate part of how the Legends PvP system was originally designed. We have kill farming in all of the Legends games and as you can probably surmise, setting up a more robust matchmaking system is no small undertaking (since we haven't bit into that yet through 4 years of Legends gaming). This is why we don't have an expansive set of PvP rewards since we know they can be cheezed by kill farming. In part, it's an inherent issue with the Free-to-Play and cross platform nature of Arcane Legends.

It's the same with, say, the forum reputation system. If you _really_ want some extra green bars on your forum avatar you could farm free forum accounts, but, what does that get you? Just some green bars that only have the meaning that others put on it - likewise kill counts are just some numbers on your avatar display, really. So, please take the kill leaderboard for what it is.

I'd like to think that we are valued customers, and for that reason IMO it's not unjustified why we have all had enough. I'm not saying that we aren't all equal though, anyone who spends plat in the game has the right to have a voice. Doesn't mean to say that they have the right to cheat the system though.

Hopefully now everyone that has seen this post and has read Emms reply will now also see that we aren't monsters. Like emma said we don't just open crates for ourselves, we open for a lot of people. We find enjoyment in making people happy as well as ourselves, and why shouldn't we? We invest in a game that is a hobby and that we love :)

Let's just not spoil it with this kill boosting please. It's pretty serious if the top spot is a cheater. That makes the game and everyone on the leaderboard look pointless.... I don't want it to be a joke.

The competition element in this game has to exist and has to be fair. We spend money because we like to get the best gear.... This is no different to real life. If I was an athlete I would buy the best equipment in the market for better results. People want to be the best, it's in our nature. That's just the way it is. If we are spending money for no reason other than to line someone's pockets I will stop. I won't be financing something that can never be achieved because of cheating.... I'll just change games.

At the moment myself and emma are hanging on by a thread. Depending on how the expansion goes (which I hope to be as awesome as Its looking) and how some of these issues are resolved will determine whether we stay or not. Like I said I love the game and the majority of people in it.... They're like our family. but I'm not throwing our time, effort and money into a bottomless pit that has an unfair outcome. Just not doing it.

We are all minding our own business..... This is our own business. TOS can be changed at any time and STS reserve the right to do what they like (pirate rings etc are a good example of this) and at any time can make enforcements within the game. The fact that you have the games top players complaining about the same issue should be enough to make the relevant changes. PVP doesnt need to have this problem.... Just simply Screenshot the kill boosting player and STS can look back through the data and can easily see what has been happening. This way that player can be deleted from LB and all the dummy toons can be deleted. Simple.

So I was in a TDM match today and some rather suspicious activity. Its really easy to pick out these farmers. Everyone from the opposite team is dead and staying dead. And everyone from my side eventually leaves. Then one player who happens to be a warrior keeps joining and leaving the match. So I ask him if he's kill farming and then he gets all defensive and basically says how can I accuse him and thought we were friends. Anyways we go back and forth after a while and he basically admits it and his justification is twinks do it. Now this warrior is someone on the TDM leaderboard for Warriors and Overall. This is someone I use to farm with occasionally. The funny thing is I believe he removed everyone off his friends list because he's no longer on mine. This is probably so no one can see what he's up to.

Well, the theory in that link didn't work! There's still many kill boosters on the leaderboards. I cannot fathom why STG doesn't take action against these kill boosters? The players that work for their slots show dedication. The people who are kill boosting are showing that given the chance, they will find ways to exploit the game. Non-kill boosters spend hours daily doing what they love & they show their thank you's by purchasing platinum.

There are many complaining on this very thread! At least an updated statement even addressing the issue would be greatly appreciated to many, I am sure.

Not really because this was posted after that post and this tells me nothing will be done, and the response is very disrespectful to people that spend irl money on this game and people that work hard the legit way.

I understand what you feel and I must say I was once an advocate against kill farming. Back when I was competing for rank 1 in ctf leaderboards, there were several farmers who blatantly farmed their way to top. If I can recall it was during seasons 2-3 where I amassed 900-1k kills a day just to compete with the aforementioned group of people. During this period, only the top place holder would receive the most coveted banner and I must say there was a hell lot of competition. After some complaints, they decided to hand out banners to every one who had their names in the leaderboard and there was a little silence that went on ever since.

If you'd ask me if this step was enough to put an end this whole fiasco, I won't think twice to say no. Sure enough these 75 players got the special vanity but how about the people under the 25th rank who lost their chance to let's say 8-9 kill farmers? Time passed and I begin to realize that no action would be possible to cease this dirty play. I've been into forum fights for the reason that I stood against to this kill farming at an intense level that I had to name people in one of the threads here. I guess I got fed up as there was no way I could catch up with some of these boosters - I slowly stopped playing pvp. I do hop into some games just for fun and not into a competitive scale.

Yet I'm still positive that STG values every customer (spenders and free players alike) Let's not lose hope and stay positive! Remember that being resilient pays off!

Since ure in pride theres rule not to attack guildies. So its not that u cant kill any other players who try to flag. I myself flag, n when im killed i don't talk bout it, go n kill who killed me. N trust me i kill many ppl while wearing flag. I would like to earn my flaggs, i have no prob with ppl attacking me while i flag i actually got 3k kills for month n a half since i flag. The only time resetting Sam is faster than using skills is when you've been stunned (ice in nordr/mages in Shuyal). The rest of the time it's slower, no matter how fast you are at it.

I'm friends with Aze, Rasi, and others - but I definitely won't let them free flag. They're mature enough to handle it and do what's necessary to flag - wether that's taking help or just devising clever strategies to get the flag and get away in time.

Also, keep in mind that when flagging, if you are known - you tend to be left alone anyways.

The entire PvP system in this game is broken - to argue which parts are more broken than others is silly. My point is that we all contribute in some manner towards helping the broken PvP system remain broken.

So, STG should kill two birds with one stone and fix both the kill boosting and free flagging issue.

as of right now what everyone can do is just report the people kill farming
as for free flagging.. the whole system of pvp will have to change and like sam already mentioned .. i dont think their program is up to that or they have much control due to this free-to-play policies whatever

At the end of Season #1 of the Leaderboards, vanity banner prizes were only granted to the #1 leaderboard position holder. Our plan is to increase the rewards to be all of the leaderboard (or even more - the team is still looking at options) to thereby reduce competition and the desire to kill farm. Our hope is that people just play and have fun and if they play avidly, they'll probably make it on the expanded leaderboard.

While we reserve the right to ban for any reason, we are not currently closing accounts for kill farming.

Now that just sounds as massive envy towards those that can afford plat. Not a pretty color on you, and this coming from somebody who has spent no more than $30.

Plat spenders don't affect anybody at all, only themselves ; it's their money and it's their choice to gamble it away.

These boosters actions affect OTHERS as many people flat out get robbed of their hard work not to mention discouraged and quit, and guess what, that's less $$$ for STS to run the game you love oh so dearly.

Hopefully now everyone that has seen this post and has read Emms reply will now also see that we aren't monsters. Like emma said we don't just open crates for ourselves, we open for a lot of people. We find enjoyment in making people happy as well as ourselves, and why shouldn't we? We invest in a game that is a hobby and that we love :)

The competition element in this game has to exist and has to be fair. We spend money because we like to get the best gear.... This is no different to real life. If I was an athlete I would buy the best equipment in the market for better results. People want to be the best, it's in our nature. That's just the way it is. If we are spending money for no reason other than to line someone's pockets I will stop. I won't be financing something that can never be achieved because of cheating.... I'll just change games.

All pvper will have their point reset at 1000 in the beginning of a season.
People will gain any point if they beat people near their ranking (gain a bit points) or people with lot higher ranking (gain more points).
People will only lose point if they killed by people near their ranking (lose a bit points) or people with lower ranking (lose more points).

Reinstill fairness in pvp by taking appropriate action on players who cheated, whilst earning a spot they don't deserved in lb

Cheat definition (In this particular case):
Killing dummies

Dummies definition:
Alt account/s created for the purpose of farming.this defeats the concept of fair play (vs other players)

Who are doing this:
Players from level cap 36 (no need to mention names since its openly discussed here)
MOST twink players

Solution:
To share/discuss suspected players with such behavior.the result is to generate official report out of this discussion to submit to sts support for appropriate action

I read that part and disregarded it as MOST who level up usually end up having their behinds handed to them and end up falling off or simply quitting because they can't hang. Which is why many twinks stay where they are, way easier to achieve.

I agree with Flamberge. Besides not all twinks farm, mainly because, everybody just does not have the patience to do this boring thing and waste hours. Lets not generalize. Also those who say "twinking is dumb", I would beg to differ. People at endgame and at twink levels have totally different play styles so you endgamers shouldnt be condescending to twinks. Pvp is more challenging and fun at twink levels mainly because the damage isnt that high for any class, skills are limited, and 1 v 1 is more fun mainly because of these limits. At twink level pvp its not all about just spamming high dmg skills as in higher levels. It requires careful thought, timing and skill to win a match. To each his own and its a free world. Let people have their fun as they want.
