Minimap question

I've searched all over the forum and have found this question asked once before but it was never answered.

What do the different colored minimaps mean? Sometimes it's blue other times it's orange.. any ideas?

I thought it was for enemy difficulty but that's not the case as I was in the last level of blackfort castle today and the minimap was orange but I was still unable to gain experience. (lvl 25) Thanks!

Its to make it easy to see on the map, some of the terrain will make the map harder to see.

At least that is what i was told.... lol

Hmmm... that would kinda explain it I guess. Not sure if that's a legit reason... would seem odd to do that.

Anyone else know?

Nope. It's to make it easy to see the map. It's the most logical answer anyway. I mean, who looks at the map to see the difficulty of a lvl?
