Hello
I'm up to level 32 now and I keep expecting this game to get better. So far ive done the alien 1, begining of 2 .. And I havent really seen any good boss battles, player dynamics, exciting drops, or anything else worth paying for.

Does this games pve or pvp get much better at 50?
I wanna like this game but so far its lacking.

quick answer is not really. it used to be fun at 50 with half decent weapons and great armor you could rush to fight bosses... now however you cant.

It's pretty much exciting from the start IMO. The really cool gear really starts in the swamps. When you get to AO2/3, you have to know which bosses drop which gear, but before that it's completely random. Bosses are kind of a joke below AO3 (with a few exceptions like deadeyes, frogmar, etc.). You'll have more fun in groups with friends than just random PUGs, but if you are really struggling to find excitement, maybe it's not the game for you...

Ao3 bosses have been dumbed down now as well. So there aren't really any challenges left (Gurgox maybe? At least he requires a bit if strategy still).

Yeah, but The Overlord, Keeper and Gurgox are still much tougher than like any 5 previous campaign bosses combined.

This is a "Casual" mmorpg. I don't find all the campaign exciting but I do find excitement from the new features that are realeasd each week. If you played this game for months then you will see how far this game has come.
The new balefort add on has great potential. The fire grates that cause damge and the goblin king that have mini goblins that explode is really a mile stone for STS.

Each week I hope for a new patch to see the potential of STS and they always shatter that barrier.

So is this game exciting? Yes and no. But will this game get ever more epic?

Yes it will :)

Thx for the input.

Follow up question. Does/will all new content need to be purchased with platinum?

Some of it will. Map Packs will need to be purchased. Stuff like Guilds its unsure if they charge plat for making/joining/editting guilds/ect.

most new content will probably need plat to acquire
though they might give you free samples or something idk
and an example is that you have bought balefort castle with plat
the new balefort content that came it is free than if you had alredy bought balefort

They need to,kick down some free content.... I dont see much value in it to this point it seems like the same dungeon every time (and too easy no challenge). I cant, imagine games like wow making it by charging for every dungeon up lvl... Anyway I'm prolly done playing till they improve the game dynamics... Some suggestions..

- Get rid of mana and healing pots, so healers are needed
- add more challenging boss fights that require strategies
- Charge for large content expansions not individual levels
- Buff legendary and epic item dps and make them less often

Lots of room for improve me nt but still a good game..

Yes, but they are still to easy to kill, no strategy required, nerfing keep was worse, a good grup know how to avoid his aoe, now you all can stand in same spot and just away, yea, exciting!

Welcome, you seems like a hardcore player that yawns for more challenging content. At one stage, when AO3 was first released it was quite tough. If you read thru the AO3 release thread somewhere, there were cries (lots) that the game is too tough for the casual players... anyways... my point is

When the game is too hard.. people Complain...
When the game is too easy.. people Complain...

It's like what do you expect the Devs to do? I think if I'm in their shoes, I would probably tear out my hair by now :p

Well.. If I were a dev I would try to model the game more like WoW. Easy dungeons for the casual gamers and tuff ones for those who want a challenge.. Easy fix.

It's exciting from the second you start playing! I'm level 34 and the excitement hasn't ceased.

It's not hard to make game interesting, all you need is a dev who socializes with his customers (the ones that count not the 15yo kiddies...that said no offense 15yo kiddies)

Wow is a joke now... Vanillia was the only good part now it's stand out of fire and move.

Like I said Pocket Legends is a casual mmo and a mobile on designed for a younger crowed , even though adults play it. They do have frozen nightmares, it has no pots in it.

But yes I do agree this game is not much of a challenge. But I believe that STS has the abilites to design a more challeging game. (I just hope the mobile devices will support new mechanics if made, I know the flexible game system can)

There are limitations to PL, namely due to the fact it runs on a phone. Not a computer, a PHONE. And I think STS have done an incredible job of making something so accessible and playable with that limitation. You want a fancy, flashy MMO? Get a PC / Mac and get one of the many, many MMOs out there for them. I like the fact the game is playable in short bursts. I think it has a lot of WoW feel to it actually - I found PL very easy to pick up and play and there were a lot of similarities.

Also, WoW is a million times more a money sink than PL in terms of actual cash. Sure PL charge for expansions, but so do Blizzard, and in addion to the xpacs, we have to pay the monthly sub, then again for name / race / faction / account / server changes, and then again for premium vanity items. I would not bat an eyelid at spending £30 to change faction and server on WoW, yet people on PL are screwing over pennies for a whole new area?
