Tarlok Gems

Just wanted to start a discussion about the value of Tarlok gems and get some input..I currently have 125 gems and I'm hoping I made a sound investment..most were bought at 10k or made..So far my dividens have doubled..Hopefully This venture will aide me in obtaining Samael as my Sorc pet and an Arcane Staff.

I think it will all depend if STS does any more crafting specials. The only thing proping up tarlok gem prices is twinks since they are useless at end game.

Also other gem hoarders like yourself! Most of the current twinks I know of already have gems! Personally I think it's artificial inflation caused by hoarders as shown in the past, but I myself have around 10 of them too. If price drops, I'll use them heeh

I've got 51 wisdom gems, all crafted. If all goes well I'll make a million or more from them.

I wanna point out that I feel like tarlok gem is harder to get super gem?
Am I only one feeling it?

I wish i would have crafted some of these gems. As a finite resource, they will indeed maintain their value and eventually increase if nothing comes i the near future to replace them. People will always be trying for perfect gems so there will always be a demand.

What happens when end game is level 41 during the next campaign? I think tarlok gems will become very useful again at level 41.

I can add. Do the math. For the same reasons why these gems are useful at certain levels and not so much at other levels, they will be useful at level 41.

If they aren't usefull now at endgame Lv36 why would they be useful at endgame Lv41? è_é

Refer to the tarlok gem guide in the player guides section by Haligali. Look at the chart and then speculate level 41.

if its true that frozen chests in inventory will not disappear after 14th and stay until opened....imagine you have 20 or so imbued chests in your inventory. you lvl up and cap at 41 and then pop an imbued and get a tarlock gem. wonder what it scales to compared to other lvl 41 gems. especially since tarlock was likely a single time event never to happen again since he was introduced to give a glimpse of the upcoming dragon lvl cap expansion.

at the minimum lvl 41 tarlock gems will be rare just by themselves...now imagine holding onto those chests for another couple expansions and opening...makes me tingle a bit lol. just to have relevant gear that looks like that at those levels...not just to say you "have" that gear, but it actually compete (maybe gemmed of course) but even then...

just another theory though...

So this thread gave me something to think on for future state.

At lvl 41Original Gems should give +4 for original and +6 for grand.
While Tarlok should give +3 & +2 for regular and +5 & +3 for grand.

Original exceptional should be +7 at level 41 because its already +6 for one exceptional on a level 36 item. Level 31 item is +5 for exceptional.

I did the math based off the reference guide mentioned here (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?129359-Guide-Tarlok-Gems-additional-stats). Grand gems gain +1 in stat every 8 to 9 lvls. Current gems go to +6 at lvl 34 so 34+8=42. Hence lvl 41 grand gems will only give +6.

When you open it at level 41 you'll get the level 36 items where the default max level of the frozen chest was supposed to

I haven't tried crafting any yet, and I doubt many people are going to try yet since none of the really good gear has been released yet. No reason to waste your rare gem worth 40-50k on a crate weapon.

I bought a random lvl 41 item from CS to check gem bonuses.

You can cancel the upgrade till last step just to see the stats.
