Solo Kraken Mines 3 The Collective Challenge Weekend!!


OK GOOB and GOOBETS,

Weekend contest to keep it fun and interesting around here!

The task is easy enough, Run KM3 solo!

Rules:

1. Must Run Solo.
2. Any Gear is OK
3. No Mythic/Arcane Pets allowed.
4. Alts are acceptable and can qualify to win in each class (You can win it all!)
5. No elixirs of any kind, runs must be pure. (leave that lep in the locker for best times)
6. Open to <The Collective> Guild members only

Prizes: 1 Nexus Egg per winner + GOLD!

Promaxx has generously donated some extra Eggs to the contest! If there are enough entrants, we could see additional prized added :)

Prize Distribution:

Top finisher from each class will be awarded a prize. No restrictions on alts.

Submission

Submission must be a screen shot of the "DUNGEON COMPLETE" pop up as seen below. Plan your kills wisely. You can update your times if you get a better time!

Friday, January 17, 2014 - Sunday, January 19, 2014 (Just have it in before Kei goes to work and slack off to read the forums).

Regarding Mythic & Arcane pets use - It should go without saying, but just in case. Due to the nature of the screen shot, its hard to tell what pet you used, but I hope nobody is compelled to cheat by switching to a mythic/arcane pet during their run. You're basically cheating your friends and Guild-mates, and if caught, its grounds for removal from the guild and any other bad things we can do to you!

Haze good for mobs but take time with bosses so the time i save i lose it on the bosses

So switch to ribbit as you run to stonegrip after Fran pops up? Might take 2 seconds but could improve your overall time.

His haze is still a baby so might not be hitting as hard a 35/36. Gore is right if you can time switching out the pets that would help.

Great time though! Feel like I got lucky with the way the bosses died!

Reminder to everyone you can resubmit your time if can improve it. I feel its a great exercise in improving your mob and boss strategy kills :)

So uh sorry to set the bar higher again for our mages, especially those with full mythic. Here is my latest entry. I think I can still do a bit better. Goal was 1:45, could have hit 1:50 or a bit below but finger slipped <.<

So, for the record, my times are
3:30 on mage (pinks with Malison)
4:40 on rogue (myth armor with Malison)
Since these are not winning times, there's n point in screenshotting.

Guess I just suck. I cannot survive the pulls I would like to perform.

OK here's my rogue! Very challenging indeed! Used dev bow and McCraw. Only toon I died with trying this run. Biggest challenge here is probably having the right skill build and weapon combo!

Just a note to our TC members. I never really had any intention of claiming the prizes, just really wanted to encourage all our other members especially mages to compete at their best.

That being said, I am allowing till tonight around 9PM EST to submit any more entries, including updated ones before it is closed and prizes distributed.

I think everyone including the head goober should be allowed to compete and should be included in every contest . It creates interest and prevents burn out . Just my thought :)

hey pro, great job on the time, can you post your build and how you got 2:17 since you said you went from 3:02 (where i was) to 2:17, i wanna see if it works haha, i will not post time if i beat you :P

Congrats so far to all the current leaders and hopefully we'll see some more times posted. There will be some smaller prizes for player alts who managed to place a competitive time in the contest too :)

Also from the looks of Pro's screen shot, it a similar build I am using on my lvl 12 twink specifically made to clear mobs quickly while running through maps. the Traps and Smoke help deal additional damage with you are running the nox box strategy, and of course the AS is always there. Only thing I can't mention is the passives because I don't have any at lvl 12.

works well with either bow or dagger build too. If you wanted to go full out mob kill, you can try Nox/veil/Traps/Razor. This would be too slow at bosses though.
