Is there a reason that names won't allow numbers?

I was just wondering why STS doesn't allow numbers to be included into names. I guess there would be a lot of like Arcane1, Arcane2, Arcane3, etc. and names like that but I don't see why that matters. If I have missed some post about this sorry. I haven't been part of the AL community for a year or two.

Probably has something to do with repetition. It could be a problem because there would be some many duplicates scamming techniques may occur. IMO

No specific reason, just to give the game the appropriate aura of old times when magic emerged blah blah. It was a nice idea, although people without imagination are just replacing numbers with x/z.
