View Full Version : Daily and weekly quest?

In the new town of Alien Oasis ( or any new incoming town) a new NPC could propose to players daily and weekly quest to players
3 daily quest per day with increasing difficulty, and 1 weekly quest. Its an idea i took from here (http://www.bungie.net/stats/reach/globalchallenges.aspx) as an answer to always keep players busy

Example:

Daily quests:
-Talk to Wyclef to earn 300 gold
-Kill 150 gobelins today to earn 1000 gold
-Defeat Zyla the witch 7 times. to earn 3000 gold


Weekly quests:
-This week, defeat each boss of the game to earn 10 000 gold ( or special item.)
-This week open 350 chest from any dongeon. 7000 gold
-This week achieve 12 daily quests. 20 000 gold

Theses additionnal quests are optionnals and not part of the main adventure.
But, i can be listed on your character board under the other quests as :

daily quest: 4
weekly quests: 3

Purpose?
-This will keep the gameplay fun and challenging for hi-level players both hardcore and casual.
-A good cash source, a fun alternative/addition to farming.

maybe a special quest suggestion thread forum can be added, so players vote and sugest quest ideas.

I think this would probably be too hard for the devs to keep up with.

hmm it might be fine if you run a random script with just 30 daily quests and 10 weekly quest, that's would be enough, even a random quest generator could do the trick I think?

It could be possible. However, I think there should be only weekly quests; it just seems more appropriate and easier to manage.

great idea, in a way dont make kill count quests! make it so that there is some reading and solving in it.
for example, a clue scroll in rs would be PERFECT in pocket legends (modified)
ex. go to______
talk to_________
dig at_________
find ________symbol
defeat________for clue
finish at ________NPC

Pocket Legends Clue scroll gears? What will it be hmm... Pink and purple ancient gears?....


I like the weekly quest idea. Daily might clog up the system too much though.
