Not really a bug, and most certainly due to the boss spawning, messing with the bad guys counts, but if, in captive audience for example:
you clean the map except room with the two lorekeepers, kill the boss, get your purples or your metallic robe of fate, then, while crying, clean the remaining room, you'll get the level complete MSG while you are dealing with the last guy.
