My bird can kill up 5 or mobs (while everyone else is the on boss) before I attack a boss and still manage to rip aggro from someone 8 lvls higher than me lol

I just think its crazy it seems no matter what I do I end up tanking the bosses. I didn't make it to tank. And I end up using boat loads of pots lol. I'm not complaining I just think its amazing.

I notice aggro but I'm not sure it's that much of a problem. Just walk away for a bit or hit harder or get the bear to stun a bit more. Oh yeah, you can try stunning also...
Birds and mages get aggro all the time. You get used to it.

Take two steps back. Did that with my mage and bow bear and stopped dying. If you are fighting a mele boss, and you right up against him, he will kill you.

Is that a complete sentence? Lol
My bird is squishy. And never gets aggro....
(must be because I'm always AFK.... Lol Jk)

The thing about that is, Birds deal too much damage, that's why aggro stays on you.
Hit and Run my friend :)

Or... We could try and Watch our damage out put so the tank holds aggro. :)

Well, from what I have seen so far, Tanks don't keep aggro that well anymore.
My Mage gets raped most of the time :(

Well I found out what was wrong just has to get a real tank in the group I just did a few runs with a real tank and I wasn't ripping away that much. Guess real tanks are hard to come by lol.

It'd be awesome if they added some items that increase/decrease hate/aggro gain. Like along with all the regular stats of a particular item, it'd have +2 to enmity, or -2 to enmity. Something like that. Perhaps it's something that'd be difficult to do from a programmer's perspective..?

This game basically deals with aggro in a very simple formula.
If the mob thinks you are dealing the most damage, it goes after you. It's a very realistic system, by basically eliminating the biggest "threat".
Applies to the real world too :)
Unless its a 7-foot guy with 9 stories of muscles :p Then you'd best be running :)

Sickofworks idea is the best solution. In the next in the gear for the next campaign there should be -2 Threat on the archer pieces. -1 Threat on pieces for mage gear and +2 Threat on warrior gear.

That would then lead to re-writing or adding the aggro code on ALL mobs in the game.
That be tedious...

True, but they've gotta have a way to 'apply all' if you will, to eliminate editing every single mob present in game.

That would still mean testing for all their values, making sure that it works for the amount of aggro if they would implement items to define their aggressiveness.
A ton of work IMO.

I don't know if the majority of players will want + or - aggro on their gear. Unless they only put +/- aggro on specific pure tanking or pure dps gear.
